The house was in a great neighborhood across from a park and a couple of blocks (easy walking distance) from a local convenience store. Everyone was pleased with the accommodations, the only complaint was the short walk at night from the 4th bedroom out back to a bathroom in the main house. We all (11) would stay again.
James was a fantastic and responsive host. The house was ideal - clean, well located and well equipped.
Thanks very much!
The house was great for a larger group (we had 11) plenty of room for everybody to sleep and hot showers. The house was clean and in great working order. The neighborhood is quiet with plenty of room for cars. A quick uber ride to downtown let us celebrate with our bachelorette party!
Very spacious house with lots of amenities. It was just a quick ride away to great restaurants and bars. James made it easy for us to access the home. Everything was seamless.
When we first arrived, the house was clean and laid out as stated in the property description with space for several people to sleep comfortably.
Unfortunately, the refrigerator was already full of food, which made it extremely difficult for our group to store all the goodies we brought along with us. The house was also very warm, and took about 2-3 hours to cool to a comfortable temperature. Even worse, within an hour of arrival, we spotted our first live cockroach in the kitchen and later that evening found 3 more throughout the house. The front porch also housed several wasp nests, which was troublesome when we came and went from the house.
The house is conveniently located near lots of great places to visit in Austin, including Zilker Park/Barton Springs and downtown, which was definitely a plus during our stay.
While booking the house, James was good about getting back to most of our inquiries in a timely manner.
This was a spacious house with a great backyard, and the front porch was a fun place to hang out with friends. Our host was helpful and friendly, and this house is located in a great part of town, which was both convenient and nice.
The only cons I found with this house were minor: There were a lot of mosquitoes, and other bugs flying around the lights, all while we were outside. We even found a giant dead roach in one of our open bottles. Additionally, there was little space in the refrigerator for our beverages and food items.
Apart from those two things, we really enjoyed this house and would certainly recommend it to the next person. I had an awesome birthday weekend here!
This home is awesome. There are plenty of rooms and beds for accommodating very large groups pretty comfortably, and the amenities are great too! The location was perfect, in a beautiful neighborhood just a 20 minute walk from Barton Springs. An Uber or taxi ride to popular downtown destinations was very affordable from here as well. Highly recommended for a big weekend getaway!
James was a great host, access to the house was easy and location to restraunts and 6th street were very convenient. The house had everything we needed and was the perfect size for our group of 12! Definently recommend the house and will be coming back !(:
We spent a log weekend in Austin with a group of 8 and the house had plenty of room. We were close enough to the city for a quick cab ride in but far enough away for a quiet night in the neighborhood. The house was clean, spacious, and had all sorts of nice amenities.
James is a delightful, interesting and a very respectful guest. He is more than welcome anytime.
