Hi, I'm Liz! I was born in Galway and have 5 kids, with just the youngest 2 at home now. Once the school drop-off is done, my mornings usually start with a brisk walk along the promenade at Salthill...a great start to the day!
I love to cook & bake: its an easy way to unwind & sharing a great meal with family & friends is one of my favourite things.
My life motto would be:
Live and let live...a little kindness goes a long way :)
I travel when I can and love the whole experience, from that hard to beat airport "buzz" (assuming all runs smoothly!) to the thrill of new places, new people and new cultures. 2 of my kids now live in Sydney, and that has presented a great opportunity to explore another corner of the globe....
Call me biased but I also love Galway & feel lucky to live here. I can't imagine living away from the sea. It's a great city: a friendly place that makes it easy to get out and meet people. (note: it can also be very wet...you've been warned! But throw in a bit of sunshine & it has to be one of the best places on the planet :) There is (almost!) always a gathering or festival of some description taking place, be it the arts/food/music/boat or horse racing, so when you come here you wont be short of things to do or places to see. And that's just the city!
Finally, I must tell you that I am loving being an Airbnb host. It has been such a positive experience for me & my family...so many new faces & new stories...so, to all who have stayed with us over the past 3 years, thank you: it has been our pleasure to meet you!
To all those yet to come, we look forward to welcoming you to Galway!
