Vida was great with everything from checking in to scheduling cleaning. Overall a very good experience!
My best friend and I stayed in Vida's apartment for a month in March and I have to say it was absolutely perfect. The room is spacious, with very comfortable beds, is in a fantastic location (the subway is a 10 minute walk but we didn't mind too much) and has a cleaning service and fresh linen every week. We loved it! The pipes are quite loud but after staying in a couple of apartments around New York this seems pretty normal. Loved it and would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in a cool building in a cool neighbour with all the comforts of home!!
It was a great time living in Brooklyn Loft! I am happy that we met such a good guys there as Vida, Kevin and Henry. They were super friendly and helpful.
Apartment was very clean, light, cozy, exactly the same as on images. It has full kitchen (means with dishwasher and oven) which made me very happy, I like to cook at home. The building is situated in a great and safe neighborhood, good food shops, bakery, cafes and restaurants are very close to it. Park is in two blocks from the building. Subway G train is in 10 min walking distance, but there is a bus stop just in a block, so you can use it to reach subway (G or L trains). Big plus is a laundry in the basement and weekly cleaning service.
Minuses personally for us were that there is no dedicated Internet cable for the apartment, just shared Wi-Fi network, thin walls (baby cries woke me up a few times) and a little laud old heating system, which I think will be replaced by electrical soon and not the point in summer.
In general its a great place to stay during your trip in NYC!
Vida ha sido increiblemente amable y ha solucionado y ayudado en todo. El departamento esta muy bien y todo ha sido facil
Our stay was a mixed bag. We loved the flexibility of a place to stay for medium term in New York - something not that easy to find anywhere. The apartment looked exactly like the listing, very attractive and well kept up. We were familiar with the location and although it was a little far from everything, it was still close to McGorlick park and some fine restaurants. We also found the live-in super to be very helpful with our move-in and dealing with any issues that came up.
Now for the bad. The internet was a constant problem. I work from home often as a result of my job and need a good connection. At first we were able to have a dedicate Time Warner modem. Unfortunately, every month it seemed that the owner was not paying the Time Warner bill and we'd have service cut off for a few days. This caused a huge issue with my job as I'm not always able to come into the office and secure a connection. In the end, the Time Warner modem was removed and replaced with a MUCH worse connection that we couldn't use. We tried working with the management to deal with this issue but we never got a straight answer or a satisfactory solution. In addition, the walls were very thin and for the first month or so we were woken up at all hours by our partying neighbors. This became less of an issue when more normal folks moved in.
For the price, I don't think I could say I'd recommend this place. On the otherhand, we couldn't find anything better on short notice and the place was very nice, cleaned regularly and decently located.
Amazing place. Highly recommend it. The flat was spotless, quiet and comfortable with an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline, which I enjoyed lying from bed. Henry the Superintendent was extremely friendly and helpful. Cleaner was great. Cool neighborhood too, with lots of good places to eat (Pie Corp, Calexico, Little Dokebi). One small issue: wifi was a little slow and required a log in every time, which became a drag over 6 weeks. Other than that it was a fantastic place to stay, would definitely stay again.
Great experience - also love that the place is cleaned every week and you get fresh sheets and towels - Vida and Dana are also very helpful
i absolutely loved this studio! the room is quite spacious and that is accentuated by the high ceilings. It is furnished with a lot of style while keeping a warmth that made me feel home right away.
Vida was very helpful, always responsive and accommodating to my needs. She also left very useful tips for the area and was flexible with check-in/out time.
A special note also to Henry, super in the building, who was super helpful and available at any time.
Overall, i definitely recommend this place! it is a bit of a walk to the subway, but i managed without a problem as i headed into Manhattan for work during a month. The studio's large space and charm is definitely worth it and you are also close by some very nice restaurants, McGorrick park and all basic necessities.
Happy returning customer !
It was a beautiful apartment, it was super clean and nice and the area was great. It was a bit far from the metro station, but I'm from VA so anywhere more then a block is far in walking terms (I'm so not joking). The restaurant options are great around here, my personal recommendations would be Greenpoint Lobster and Lucky Luna.
I interacted mostly with Kevin and he was very attentive. Both him and Vida were great at responding to any inquiries promptly.
The biggest problem I had involved mosquitoes. I don't know where they came from but I got bitten like crazy until I bought bug spray. Halfway through my trip, it got very cold so they all died, thankfully. I think there was a window that wouldn't shut so that was a problem, but I didn't find the whole thing too troublesome.
Overall, it was a great place to stay and I loved calling it home!
