Tim was a gracious and welcoming host. The Carriage barn was beautiful and well-equipped. It was the perfect cozy hideaway for a weekend vacation. We didn't see much of Norwich, but from what we saw it seemed like a cute little town with friendly folks. We will definitely be planning to stay with Tim again whenever we want a close place to get away to!
We wish we had discovered Ella Moore cottage years ago! This is the most charming, delightful, relaxing little place to hang your hat. We wish that our day wasn't so full of activity away from the cottage so that we could have spent more time just relaxing IN the cottage. As it was, after a long day of travel and visiting with friends and family, we were greeted at the cottage with fresh, clean (I mean, CLEAN) space + scents. And it just kept getting better! As we made our way up the stairs, the decor and arrangements and architecture made you feel part of something very historic and very special, but in a way that also let you know it was okay to sit back and put your feet up. We will be back. Thank you Tim + Richard!
Thank you for the nice words. Please come back and visit:)
My husband and I had a lovely weekend stay in the Victorian Carriage Barn Cottage, which is situated on a quiet residential side street near Norwich's town center. It was a private, airy, very clean, very spacious accommodation with a downstairs kitchen and upstairs bedroom which contained 2 beds, one in a smaller cozy nook, both very comfortable. The decor was artfully done "shabby chic"/vintage/Victorian. Our host Tim was not on premises when we came but had emailed us clear instructions ahead of time and left further instructions in the cottage. We met him later and found him to be a personable and engaging host.
Thanks for the nice review:)
The carriage barn was nicely maintained and decorated and I managed well there for a stay of several weeks. Tim is a conscientious and responsive host, respecting a guest's privacy while also checking in to make sure things are okay. His plans for improving the kitchen sound good.
This room was for my cousin from Toronto, while I was staying longer-term in the carriage house next door. Tim very graciously accommodated a late arrival. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the description was certainly accurate.
Tim is an incredibly thoughful host. He has put so much thought and effort into creating the perfect bnb experience. The cottage is furnished elegantly and feels homely. He provided us with a continental breakfast and even baked us some treats. This is by my favorite airbnb experience to date. I have no reservations whatsoever recommending Tim's cottage to couples, friends and families.
Thank you for the very kind words. Please come back and visit anytime.
Everything about the place was pleasant, generous, pretty and thoughtful. I highly recommend it!
Felt I had a home away from home. Not a worry or a care. Tim lovely - caring, accommodating, with the highest of hospitality standards.
Thank you Patricia for the nice words!
Excellent first experience with Airbnb. Tim was very communicative, friendly, and accommodating. The description of the unit was accurate - it was just like I expected. It's in a great location, short walking distance to the Norwich business district. The unit was very clean. Note that the two bedrooms do not have doors. The bathroom is small and cramped - might be an issue if you are very tall and like to take a shower! Kitchen area has a microwave and small refrigerator, but no stove.
An oven is in the plans to be added. I put a hair dryer and alarm clock in the cottage last night:)
