Currently studying Electrical Engineering in Zurich, Switzerland. I will finish my degree soon and then go travelling to California and Vancouver.
In my freetime, I like to teach high school students (16-20 years old) how to build autonomous robots and participate in international robotics competitions. I have founded the association in 2005 and coach and teach new students every year since then. In the team, students not only learn about mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and programming, but they also learn how to organize projects and work together in a team. We have participated in the world championship in Austria in 2009, Singapore 2010, Istanbul 2011 (1st place in the Rescue league), Mexico City 2012 (2nd place in the Soccer league) and in Eindhoven, Netherlands 2013.
Robotics is by far my biggest hobby. It inspires me to work together with high school students and see the progress they make during a year, but also the stunning ideas they have for their robots. Besides robotics, I also play the clarinet (classical music) and I like to cook.
I've travelled through Europe and Asia, but was only once in New York. My next trip will be to the west coast of US. I plan to visit San Francisco and then travel north to the Redwood National Park, Seattle, Vancouver and Victoria. Then I fly back to San Diego and spend a few days there, in LA, Monterey before I fly back from San Francisco to Zurich in September.
