We had a lovely welcome from our host Dee. Dee is a home grown Irish . A lovely lady , very full of wit and energy! We were not in want of a single thing:)
We enjoyed our first few moments and every other moment , as Dee made us easily comfortable! Dee was very available to us at every turn.
Thanks so much for everything Dee!
Hope to Welcome you in Canada one dad?!

dee was great in welcoming me and helping me out to get to her place and finding my way around.however, i was a but disappointed when i got the cottage 'coz what i saw was not what was in the airbnb website picture. the front garden not so well-kept, neat and clean. dog's poo was on the lawn. as i stepped inside, i saw a vacuum cleaner upstairs 'coz she had been vacuuming the carpet before my arrival.plus, she excused herself for not cleaning the tv room.i'm sorry to write that the bedroom wasn't better either. the curtain and the black-out one were broken, dusty, rusty and dead flies on them. she fixed them but fixing was more 'placing' them back in the rusty rails. i couldn't touch them 'coz they would fall. there was a crack on the ceiling and damp stains on the right wall.
the overall place didn't seem clean and neat as on the website. her two dogs were not scare at all but they would always be in the kitchen in the morning barking and stopping you from enetering it.
dee doesn't mention the two dogs on the airbnb website but only in our private exchange of emails.
last but not least, the view of the sea was only possible from the bathroom...i'm not saying people shouldn't go to her place but she should definetely charge far less than what she asks for.her place is not 5-minute walk from the centre of dalkey but 15/20-minute walk.
Im very sorry you didn't enjoy your stay - the house is as per the photos - an old cottage on the pier in a seaside village in Dalkey!
Our experience was very agreeable from the beginning. Dee was really welcoming and helpful, what made us feel at home in every way. Besides, her place and the location itself were beautiful!
We were made very welcome. The house and our room were very clean and comfortable. It was a very convenient place to stay for going into Dublin Centre everyday. (30 mins on the Dart with regular trains). Dalkey is a pretty village with excellent cafes, restaurants and pubs. I would recommend Dee's place.
We only stayed one night at Dee's but found it a lovely getaway from Dublin! Dee was there to greet us and was so friendly, helpful, and informative - we basically followed her tips on what to do that night and the next day and had a great time! The room is cozy and the bed was so comfortable! It even has a heating pad underneath in case it gets chilly at night. Breakfast was laid out nicely on the table for us the next morning with delicious croissants and muesli and all types of tea. Her two dogs are so cute and hilarious - we enjoyed meeting them too. Thanks Dee for a great stay!
Dee is awesome! We spent 4 nights with her and she is really nice, her house and the views are beautiful and her dogs are adorable! I highly recommend it!
