I love to travel, eat good food, meet new people and enjoy life. I'm a special educator by day and a writer by night. When I'm not working or traveling, I enjoy spending time with friends, patronizing local bars and eateries, running with my pup, reading for pleasure and riding my bike.
I am an easy-going traveler. I prefer local and authentic experiences whenever possible. My travel motto is I'll go anywhere at least once. I am interested in the world and soaking up culture wherever I go.
Places I've been to: Kenya, Congo, Belize, Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Tobago, Puerto Rico and Panama.
One of my most memorable travel experiences was sleeping in a Maasai hut on a cow-hide bed with a family I just met. This was during the first week of my first international travel experience during a four-month study abroad experience.
Up next in Dominican Republic in February and Argentina in July,
I speak conversational Swahili and little Spanish learned through work and travel, though I am now actually studying Spanish.
