Amazing loft and very friendly hosts. Highly recommended. Moreover, Tribeca is a very loverly area to live in and the apartment is extremely big and very quiet.
Myself and three of my friends from college stayed at this apartment for 2.5 months while we interned in NYC. We had a really great problem-free stay at the apartment. James & Majora were extremely nice! Whenever we needed anything (like an extra fan or mail keys) James was very responsive.
The apartment is definitely not your typical Tribeca apartment, but it's really awesome. First of all it's HUGE - the pictures do not do it justice. It was extremely spacious even for four people (two couples). It's also extremely unique - from the furniture to the giant ying yang on the wall it's definitely got unusual decor. Whenever we had friends over they were always amazed by the place for at least 20 minutes. Everything worked in the apartment and it was clean. The location is really great - the neighborhood is really safe and has lots of great restaurants. It's also less than a 5 min walk to several subway lines.
I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in the area - it's a steal!!!
we just stayed two weeks in this wonderfull loft and got in a very nice stay: the builginbd is quiet in a nice street where you could find a lot of good adresses for bars& restaurants and other shops...the loft was amazing like here, in France we think about that could be and so, we could have a new yorker life, We also could receive some friends as the owners autorized us for!
all this area is a very well one and we could recommand you a lot of good places for shopping and fun! the subway is closed and you could transport yourself evrywhere in manahattan and other neighboroughs...
so this loft is a very good place for enjoying your new yorker stay !
We had a really great time in NYC! James was very hospitable, and made us feel at home in the large but yet cosy apartment. Very conveniently located, with lots of restaurants, shops, and sights nearby, and close to the subway. We're glad that we chose this instead of a hotel! No elevator though :)
We had a great time in NYC with some friends. This appartment is quite amazing. We liked the style, the size of the place and It was very quiet which is not usual for the city. The location is great as well.
I was on the standby list after another Airbnb host cancelled my reservation a couple of weeks before my travel date, and James was kind enough to offer up his place. The loft looks just as pictured - it's large and spacious - not a lot of furniture, just the bare necessities. It's an odd building (garbage is kept in the vestibule before being taken out to the street), but pretty classic NY. The location is great and there's a great parking garage across the street for those driving in. This is definitely not comparable to a hotel, if that's what you're looking for - it's more of a party loft and better suited for people going out and inviting people over for more partying. Unfortunately we were in town for a tradeshow, and after standing and working nine hour days, I longed to put my feet up in a comfier place. Overall it's pretty unfinished - just a place to throw your stuff while you do other things in the city. I was relieved that James came through for me, but wished the other place hadn't cancelled in the first place.
Clean, comfortable and convenient! Great host, great location.
Thanks for a great New York experience!
amazing location and loved the loft. everything you need, kitchen, shower, internet. great price too! we would definitely stay there again and james was super easy to work with, reliable and accomadating. a gem for sure!
The wiring is dangerous, three out of the 12 light fittings work. We were advised by Mr Chase that he could get an electrician in to fix the broken clothes dryer or else we could use a pair of pliers to turn it on. But the worst part was that it was completely filthy. The bin was full in the kitchen and the place smells of dog. Mr Chase mumbled that the cleaners 'ran out of time', but there had never been cleaners in there. Flowers were rotting in a vase on the bench, and the shower leaks into the downstairs neighbours. Overall very pleased with the apartment. Great location and very roomy. James was a pleasure to work with, very easy going and responsive to inquiries and accommodating a late check in.
