Quirky stylish apartment with great transport links into the centre. Vibeke and Soren gave us lots of recommendations and advice for our trip and even annotated it all on a map for us. Really quick replies to emails when we were arranging the trip. This flat is definitely great value for money and a lovely place to stay. We all wished the apartment was ours!
We had an amazing time in Copenhagen. The flat was perfect for our young children with lots of space, toys, and a few great parks in the immediate neighbourhood. It truly felt like a home away from home. Vibeke took the time to understand what our trip was all about and give us personal tips and recommendations. Great trip!
A colleague and I chose to rent a flat rather than a hotel during our business trip to Copenhagen. What a treat! We loved the space, light and being away from the tourist zone. Norrebro is authentic with a bohemian feeling. The flat as a 5 min, easy walk from the subway station and the main bus is almost out the front door. The flat has a balcony with table and chairs overlooking red square.
There were just two of us and we had loads of personal space. I think younger tourists would be happy being more crowded than we were. They have all conveniences for a home away from home such as dishwasher, large fridge, nice range-oven, hair dryer, laundry, etc. the nursery makes it great for a small family. The flat was tidy but if you are a clean freak, it might not be for you, but we felt perfectly fine. As others mentioned, the bathroom reflects the vintage nature of the building. It is tiny and the shower is controlled by the sink, right onto the floor. North Americans are not accustomed to this style, but it was fine for two. With a crowd and everyone taking daily showers, the bathroom and floor would stay pretty damp as this is the one room in the flat without windows. Like others said, the shower works well and it was fine. The decor is as in the photos: gorgeous pale wood floors, white cupboards and molding, beautiful wooden furniture pieces. The rooms are uncluttered and open, despite the amount of items in the flat as it is well organized. Both my colleague and I found the beds to be very comfortable.
Groceries, bistros and shops are right out the door or a 10 min walk for a few chic choices. We had a lovely jog in the nearby cemetery and admired the grave of Hans Christian Andersen. The street is noisy at times, but vibrant. We closed the windows at night but I liked the bustle.
Vibeke and her family are warm and charming. Danish law limits the number of times they can rent their flat to six per year, so we felt privileged to have enjoyed it.
Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir dans cet appartement très spacieux - idéal pour 4 personnes ou une famille - très beau et très bien situé, avec en plus une magnifique terrasse.
Really lovely apartment for our family with four young children. Clean and tidy on arrival. Great communication before our visit. There is lots of space. Really sweet room with kiddy bed and cot. The bathroom is tiny but fine with a good shower. Great kitchen, dining room and lounge. Two good parks walking distance. Supermarket and great pizza place really close. It's not the poshest area but very accessible. Bus stop almost outside going straight into town and airport. We felt very at home, welcomed and comfortable.
Fantastic Apartment, lots of room for a family of 6 including an 18 month old. Very easy to get into town and to train station/bus stops and airport. Great bakery nearby thats open on Sunday and does good coffee and croissants. Very close to the supermarket also. We were all delighted with the apartment and the easy arrival on the day, I would certainly recommend this to anyone staying in Copenhagen.
We had a perfect stay in Vibeke and Sørens flat. It is a nice flat with a good size and a great location. We enjoyed watching all the things going on at Den røde plads from the balcony and we had a really good sunday brunch at Cafe Castro across the road. The hosts were friendly and helpful. I can only recommend it. M
My only regret is that I only found out that I could have watched PL football on one of the many TV channels when it was too late.
Vibeke and Sorren's apartment is truely wonderful. I had MAJOR lifestyle envy!!! Not only are they placed in (my opinion) the most interesting district in Copenhagen, the apartment is really spacious, beautifully decorated and really warm and cosy. Some people have commented that the bathroom is small; OK it is. But the shower is lovely and hot and everything works brilliantly! And for a busy neighbourhood location, we thought it was exceptionally quiet at night. I guess the Copenenhagians are quieter and more considerate than Londoners :-) Great little terrace too. Can't fault it! We hired bikes for 150 kroner for 2 days on the same street as the apartment. Also - Go to Manfred & Vin for dinner when you are there (10 minute walk) Its awesome!! Thanks Vibeke and Sorren!
we spent a great week in Vibeke & Soren's home
a perfect place for family and kids
the hosts met us were kind helpful and full of good will and great info
the home was an amasing Copenhagen expirience. with everything we needed in it.
the area is great , a little uncomfertable at night, as the streets are packed with multi national people. one final remark: the house is one floor over the street on top of a Shwarma shop... if you cant stand beef smell then you will be unhappy
thanks for a great stay
Vibeke's apartment was a wonderful home-away-from-home. We had a lovely family reunion with my lively two-half year old son and his elderly grandparents. The flat was well-equipped, very spacious and lots of toys for my son! It was very convenient for visiting Copenhagen, grocery shopping and playgrounds. Only the bathroom was a bit small, but the size and comfort of the flat made up for it. Vibeke and her family are very friendly and communication was very fast and easy. I would happily recommend the flat and stay again!
