Rik and Tracey have a truly great cabin tucked away in a beautiful wooded area. They were excellent hosts who we saw briefly upon check-in and check-out. The setting is a spacious and cozy true log cabin, complete with wood-burning fireplaces. We took walks around the pond, sat outside in the garden, and grilled for dinner. We opted for them to provide us with farmer's market groceries, so we had tons of high quality vegetables, fruits, and meat for the week. Tracey even left us with some delicious homemade focaccia. The whole trip was a great/relaxing getaway for a reasonable price: pretty scenery, great cabin, tons of excellent food. They also have an awesome record collection. Highly recommended!
This is a magical place tucked away far from any main roads. There are 60 acres + of wooded area to explore and as well as a nearby lake.
I highly recommend it to people looking for a relaxing getaway in the woods. There is an excellent kitchen and all sorts of unique spaces to explore in the house, a beautiful fireplace which we didn't use because we were there at the end of the summer. There is also a fire-pit and separate propane grill.
Hosts, Rick and Tracy, were accommodating, helpful and easy going. They have created a really special place filled with life. It was a very rejuvenating experience for us city-dwellers.
Thanks for everything. D@E
This is a warm spacious home filled with books and unique treasures. Come to relax and enjoy the comfortable cabin and surrounding pond and wooded area.
Tracey and Rik were terrific hosts! Their cabin is really lovely with all the comforts of home. If you're looking for a nice place to go to 'get away from it all', you couldn't do any better!
