Amy's place was fantastic! Perfect location, perfect size and amazing hospitality! Would go through Amy again with no hesitation!
As others have said there are many charming features about this home but be aware that curb appeal and the upstairs bedroom and bathroom are not among them. We enjoyed the downstairs living-dining area with it's many artistic touches and comfy furniture but were shocked that when it rained the upstairs bathroom skylight had a major leak. There was also mold upstairs and evidence of old water damage. The front stairs were sagging at a dangerous angle and the screen door was ripped in 3 places. Before renting, you might want to check with host to see if repairs have been made both inside and out that can turn this home into a charming rental.
The house was great, and in an awesome location, just as Amy says in the description...there were even some beers waiting for us in the fridge. If you have a larger group that's visiting Portland, this is the place to stay.
Amy's home served as a gathering place for our family for eight days during a family wedding in Portland. Amy was a great host and was very prompt and helpful when we contacted her. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. This is not a fancy home, and it does show it's age a bit, but it is roomy and comfortable, and very reasonably priced. There is a nice yard, with decks and patio furniture but unfortunately the weather was not warm enough for us to enjoy these amenities.
We would recommend this accommodation, especially for a family, and we would certainly stay here again.
Amy was fantastic to work with- very quick to answer every question I had. The house was in the most PERFECT location... steps away from the most delicious restaurants and bars. I stayed during a snowstorm and the house was cozy and comfortable, warm and welcoming. Amy left the house stocked with everything you may need! I will definitely be coming back to stay and I highly recommend staying in Amy's home to anyone.
The house is in a great location - within walking distance to many great places on Division Street. We only used the downstairs part of the house really and the upstairs bathroom. It was quite cold upstairs and I think it would really be too cold to sleep up there. There was some leaking noticed in the bathroom (it rained quite heavily one evening) and also in the bedroom we didn't use upstairs. Downstairs was warm and the bedrooms very comfortable. We did let Amy know about the leaking and even though it didn't' affect our stay, she was responsive. We would enjoy staying there again, maybe when it's warmer. A small heater would be helpful too… there was one upstairs that was not super powerful that we used for warming up the kitchen
The house was in a great location and there was plenty of room for 8 of us. It was also clean. Amy was quick to answer any questions I had. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Portland.
Amy's house is accommodating for my family along with the great neighborhood with many coffee shops, restaurants and public transport minutes away. Thank you Amy!
Amy's house is even better than what the pictures suggest. It's a beautiful home with plenty of space. Everything is set up very nicely and the best part is the neighborhood. It's in the perfect location. Amy was wonderful as well. She communicated very clearly and was was a gracious host. Would stay here again for sure!
We had a fantastic Thanksgiving at Amy's house and we would definitely stay again.
Amy was an excellent guest, it was really a pleasure to meet and host her.
She also has a Airbnb rental in Portland and it was fun comparing notes, we also had many like activities that we connected with.
She was easy to communicate with, clean, respectful... Always welcome but most likely won't need it here in Portland but she'll make a great (email hidden) place.
Amy was a terrific guest, clean and respectful, and a great communicator. She is a host on AirB&B herself, so she know's what makes a good guest! I'd be happy to host Amy again!
Amy was a very sweet guest. Quiet, considerate and easy to talk with. I didn't get to spend much time with her as I was out of town part of the time she was here. But she and Fred and friend of Fred's had a fun Saturday evening conversing and sharing stories. She is welcome back anytime. ;)
Amy was so great. She was really an ideal guest. Super neat and clean, friendly, fun and easy to be with. She was also very helpful to us since she is now working with Airbnb. We would love to have Amy back anytime and would highly recommend her to anyone. You'd be lucky to have her stay with you.
I never had the opportunity to meet Amy in person because of my rigorous travel schedule and bicycle season riding. Sadly we were ships in the night. Nonetheless, Amy is a quiet guest, communicates well via notes, is super clean, and accommodates this host's schedule with ease. I too, regret, we never had the opportunity to socialize. Amy is right needing a car at my location. It's advised to have one, but that's how you get to this quiet area away from the busy streets. Amy is welcome back at anytime!
Great guest! Always welcome!!!
Amy is a fabulous and conscientious hostess. Her home is in a fun neighborhood, walking distance to great restaurants and, in good weather, you can even walk to downtown! I would (and probably will!) stay with her again.
Amy is a lovely person with lots of interesting experiences to share! I would highly recommend staying with her!
Awesome classic home furnished with every conceivable high-end appliance you can imagine, leather couch and lazy boy, big flat screen, industrial Cuisinart and mixer, 4-slice toaster with independent darkness settings and built-in egg-poacher, Nintendo Wii with dance, drum, and air-guitar controllers. Infinite supply of apples and flowers in the garden for Fall harvesting. Back yard fire pit and movie screen. Daily hummingbird visits throughout the summer and Fall. You name it and Amy's place has it.
Amy is a kind and gracious person. After knowing her for only one day, she kindly showed me around her new city. I would definitely recommend Amy as a host.
