Quite a distance from station 1,2,3. Frequent blackouts during our stay and was a result of the recent hurricane. Nobody advise us on the blackouts when we first arrive so it was frustrating. Rooms were cleaned every day which is good.
There is a steep slope leading to the house so gets kinda tired if you come and go very often.
We had a very nice stay at Hilltop studio. It's very spacious, got lovely terrace and has full kitchen set so you can cook there too. We really like the fact that it's located on quite side at Bolabog beach, which perfect for kite surfing and 10-15min away (walking) from crazy busy white beach. Must try is a small restaurant downstairs with amazing breakfast options and Spanish talas place at night.
The pictures are mildly misleading. This house itself doesn't have an ocean view, and is placed in the middle of a completely undeveloped hill near Diniwid beach. To get to the house itself you have to walk up a steep dirt path littered with stray rocks. There is also a closely adjacent house currently being built, which often disturbed the tranquility we came here to find.
While the property itself is OK, it's location leaves something to be desired. We didn't have consistent power, and had to use a loud generator but that was understandable due to the recent proximity of Hurricane Yolanda. Diniwid beach is close, and very accessible, but if you want to get down into the main stations for anything, it's about a 20 minute walk or P100 Trike ride.
The caretaker was a sweetheart and help us with any questions and tasks.
My friends and I stayed at the Salt Villa for 5 nights and were very pleased with the place! The villa looks exactly like in the pictures, very modern & slick. Furnitures, lightings, bedrooms and bathrooms were all great, & the balcony/outdoor areas were perfect for chilling.
We had some issue connecting to the WiFi on our first day but Julia & her staff were very responsive and managed to fix it quickly. It made communication with the staff thereafter much easier, as the villa doesn't come with a phone (and so we had to use whatsapp). We did face one other issue - the power goes out sometimes. Not sure if it was due to the weather, as it could get really windy and rainy during the time we were there (monsoon period).
With regard to location, this villa is situated at Diniwid beach which is a quiet and also most picturesque beach in Boracay. We were greeted by the most amazing view every morning, especially since the villa is situated on a hill and overlooks the waters. We do caution though, that the climb is little steep and probably unsuitable for the very young and old.
Overall, a great stay at a beautiful villa!
Absolutely brearhtaking view, that would be the top feature of this wonderful villa. You have to climb quite a bit to get to the place, but it's worth every drop of sweat. If you are not nimble on your feet, beware, this might not be the best place for you.
All other features are as described: recent construction, good airco in the bedrooms, very nice architectural concept, view over White Beach, yet away from all the fuss and touristic noise.
The staff comes in daily to clean and to change laundry. They also can do your shopping.
