Rachel and Rob are wonderful and welcoming hosts. We felt at home amongst their warm welcome, artistic home, interesting chats about art and film and their recommendations about places to visit for food and music in Fishtown as well as Center City. We highly recommend their home and would love to stay with them again.
Rachel was great, vary accommodating and helpful. The room is very comfortable and the shower is awesome. The house is a great mix of old charm and modern amenities. Rachel served a light breakfast with amazing coffee. I would definitely stay with Rachel again.
Rachel was a wonderful host. The room was extremely clean and the house was awesome. Great neighborhood and great hosts. Would highly recommend.
Rachel was a wonderful host and the place was very nice. I would definitely go back if I ever had to stay in Philadelphia. The only issue was trying to find a place to park. But this absolutely in no way takes anything away from an awesome stay and a great host.
I'm very happy I booked a room at Rachel's. Together with my friend we stayed in this cozy room for 4 nights. Everything was as described, beds were comfy, room seemed more spacious than in pictures, everything was very clean and tidy. Rachel's house is like an art gallery.
I liked the neighborhood, the house was not too far from the Girard station and many restaurants within walking proximity. It's also possible to walk to the city center if you want to do more sightseeing (I suggest taking a walk by the Delaware river towards Penn's landing).
Besides the advantages of this cozy room and good location it is important to mention that Rachel was a very nice host. She answered all our questions and gave many useful suggestions even before our arrival. We had enough of privacy in the room. And the breakfast was wonderful!
This was my first airbnb experience and I'm very happy that I stayed in this room.
We very much enjoyed having you and hope to see you any time you are back in Philly.
Rachel and Rob are incredibly nice people and you shouldn't hesitate to book your stay with them. The house is located roughly 5 minutes away from a major subway line and a little more than that from a large grocery (and other goods) store. The room is spacious enough for two people and the beds are comfortable. There's a desk, lamp and everything else you might need to make you feel like you're in actual place where you can live, not just a place where you sleep. The hosts offer an unprecedented degree of privacy and you will not (have to) interact with them unless you want to. Overall, my brother and I enjoyed our stay very much and would be happy to stay there again in the future if it ever becomes necessary for either of us to return to Philly. Highly recommended.
This was a wonderful experience for us. Rachel + husband were warm, welcoming and interesting to talk to about the city and neighborhood. In addition to being extremely flexible in terms of our arrival time/ schedule, Rachel and her husband offered extensive support for our trip- including local recommendations, museum pointers and even logistical help! The room was charming and comfortable, and even more spacious than it appears in the photos. We were also big fans of Rachel's breakfast. This was a true pleasure and is highly recommended to anyone wanting to explore Fishtown from the lovely starting point of an inviting art-adorned home .
Thank you Lizzie. Rob and I look forward to seeing you any time. Ciao for now.
We had a great stay of 5 weeks. Just like home. We had everything we needed to feel right at home. Rachel is a most accommodating host. Wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
Thanks Mike. Come back any time.
A++. Rachel and Rob were tremendous hosts. They were extremely welcoming into their home, great to talk to, and very generous with their knowledge of the city–ensuring that we had a great time in Philadelphia. Highly recommended and would not hesitate to stay with them again.
We'll welcome you both back any time!
Thank you so much, Rachel and Rob.
If I had not met you, my days in Philly would have be boring, dull and no fun.
I really miss you.
Actually, at first, I was a little nervous. this is my first time in Philly and I have to live without my wife and daughter for work. But they warmly welcomed me and helped me in many ways. They made me really relaxed by great conversasion. They were just like friends, family, great teacher for me.
If you were lost at some way, they would be sure to help you with great solutions.
Their room is amaizingly perfect. clean, cozy, aritistic and with good fruits you can take. It is more beautiful than the pic on web.
If you stay long days, Rachel will clean your room per week.
The neighborhood, Fish town, is one of great places in US. You can find out great shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes. You can walk safely even at night.
If I go to Philadelphia again, I will be sure to book their room.
I am so thankful for having you in my life.
Rachel was a great guest. Extremely quiet and scarce, I enjoyed meeting her at check-in, and then barely saw her for her week and a half stay.
I have stayed with Rachel and Rob many times and each time I felt like royalty. I have also enjoyed dinner at their house with other guests, delicious meals, comfortable environment and engaging conversation. I would not hesitate to recommend their hospitality to anyone.
I spent a month staying at Villa Roadstown while I was working at the local Nuclear plant. I was a bit nervous going somewhere I did not know anyone, but they made me feel so at home! Rachel & Rob were the ultimate hostess & host! I thoroughly enjoyed my time there & left as friends with both of them. We have since visited them in Fishtown and enjoyed our time hanging out with them. I am hoping to work near their place again to be able to stay there. You would do well to rent from them. Such great people! Thanks Rachel! Hope to see you soon!
Hi, I have stayed at Rachel's place several times and we always enjoy the roominess, comfortable and gracious rooms, with big windows and wonderful light. Great for a family celebration, nice size dining room and big country kitchen. It's a historical property which is very cool. A great place to bring your family for a weekend or even a whole week. Farmland all around near a small historic village with farmstands.
Only an hour to Cape May if you want to go there on daytrips. I had a great time there with my kids and some of my extended family. I felt like a country squire sitting on the screened in porch with my kids!
Rachel Citrino is an artist specializing in printmaking and I met her when we had our work in the same group show. I enjoyed speaking with her in Italian, in which she is fluent. She has shown her work in Italy as well as Philadelphia. She is a lovely, interesting person who would be a wonderful host.
