I'm the type of person who would open her house to complete strangers. ;-)
When I travel, I usually find a fun hostel to stay in. However, when arriving to Santa Fe for the first time, I tried out the local hostel. I do not recommend it. The homes here are much better options. And now that Airbnb is a part of my reality, I probably won't go back to hostels ever again.
My footprints are in Europe, Central & South America, Canada, Caribbean, and right here in the states. I love to go somewhere and pretend I live there for a few weeks, if not months. Then, I move on.
Hostessing guests is a hoot. Meeting new people on a vacation-high is such a joyful part of life. Traveling has the ability to bring out the youthful glow in us all.
Maybe inviting you to stay in my home is a vicarious way to travel until I hit the road again? Do you mind?
