Excellent location, there's a bus stop right in front of the house, and real easy access to the tube. Plenty of shops near by to get food / groceries. The house itself was exactly like the pictures. It could easily accommodate 5 or more guests. It's got a real nice backyard, great place to have a bbq.
The house is absolutely gorgeous! Rich details and beautiful furniture. Angela was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended. A unique space and great host!
The flat was perfect and Angela was an excellent host. Everything was very clean and the linens and towels were most luxurious. Great location near the Highgate station. You can walk thru a park to reach the station and stop by a pub on the way. We were very happy with the whole experience!
This home is simply amazing and Angela was a very responsive and gracious host.
We used the flat as a base for 10 days in London. The flat is in a quiet safe location and was clean and comfortable. Public transport links are good with Highgate Station about 10 minutes walk away, and frequent buses on Archway Road.
We frequented the small Sainsburys store on Archway Road which was perfect for fresh fruit, vegetables and ready-made meals and sandwiches etc.
The flat is also very close to the Parkland Walk, a disused railway which is now a nature reserve and part of a much longer network of footpaths that circle London.
Would recommend visiting pubs in Highgate Village. In particular the Flask at the top of West Hill is a great location. Also loved The Bull on North Hill where we spent a couple of evenings sitting outside with great food.
We did have a couple of very minor issues during our stay but we were able to email Angela who was able to resolve them very quickly by liaising with people nearby.
All in all a very pleasant stay.
Helpful and stayed in touch with us during the guests stay, would recommend
We had a great time. This is a very good house for a family since there are four bedrooms. The house is not truly luxurious but some features such as Kitchen equipment and baths are first rate and this is probably what is most important. I would give the property an A minus, all told. Only caveat is that there is a lot of stair climbing necessary.
Angela, the owner, was very helpful and gracious.
My family of five stayed in Angela's apartment for ten nights at the beginning of summer.
Angela was extremely accommodating from the outset, going out of her way to organise the apartment to be available with less than twenty-four hours notice - and from half way across the world. Angela also provided explicit instructions on how to get there from where we arrived at St Pancras which was a big help.
The apartment was fantastic - everything brand spanking new and immaculately clean, the beds very comfy with loads of linen and towels and lovely toiletries in the bathrooms. The perfectly controlled central heating was much appreciated for Australians experiencing their first taste of London 'summer'. Inside the apartment there are no stairs which was highly appreciated by my elderly mother (and seems to quite rare in London).
We found Crouch Hill to be very comfortable and quite convenient. There are at least six supermarkets within walking distance as well as loads of pubs and restaurants. The local tube Finsbury Park was fifteen minutes walk away - or a few minutes on the bus from the bus stop right outside the front - and has two of the main lines to central London which is about fifteen minutes away. There is a bus in the other direction direct to Camden.
All in all the experience was delightful and i would highly recommend. Thanks Angela, very much.
