We grew up in the Huntsville area, but as jobs took us to new homes around the US and all over the world we always returned to enjoy the Guntersville/Scottsboro area for fishing and boating on our family vacations. As we make plans to retire in the area in the future, we were excited to find a venture that we can enjoy together.
In April 2010 we purchased Kudzu Cove Cabins and the surrounding property with the hope that many others will come to the area to just relax and go out to enjoy all the adventures of a vacation in the area. Kudzu Development was started to operate and manage the property and we are pleased to partner with LakeLands Limited for rental management. We plan to continue to grow the development with additional offerings for visitors staying at Kudzu Cove, but also to anyone visiting the Scottsboro /Guntersville area.
Kudzu Cove was aptly named after the kudzu vine that covers an area of trees in the north end of Buck Island near the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) wildlife area. There are also additional cabins as originally conceived with an eye toward catering to groups. For more pictures and a better idea of the location, should see the (website hidden) web site. Visitors staying at Kudzu Cove for one week should ask about opportunities to take advantage of the golf course, clubhouse, tennis courts, and pool located at the nearby Gunter's Landing.
