Thomas was a great host! The house could not have been in a better location!
Thomas is an excellent host. It's clear why he has so many positive reviews. He's warm, welcoming and very hospitable. We loved our room, and the location couldn't be beat for The Christmas Stroll. He even gave us a ride to the ferry on a cold and windy morning when most of the ferries had already cancelled. Thanks for such a great experience!
Thomas is a wonderful host- a true New Englander (straight-shooting) and 13th generation Nantucketer.
The house is quaint and a stone's throw from Main Street.
He made my 1st AirBnB experience a pleasure. Thanks for everything!
Tom had a great knowledge of the island and its history. He is great to chat with and made us a nice cup of coffee. A wonderful way to stay in an authentic home within walking distance of everything we needed.
Thomas was a very gracious host; very attentive, and very respectful. The room was fantastic and in a great location.
In an original, well kept Nantucket house in the heart of Nantucket-town, we spent two nights on the third floor. The room is cosy and comfortable.
Thomas is a great host: he gave us useful tips, served a complementary breakfast and even invited us for a glass of wine and we had great conversations.
Thomas was an excellent host to me and my friend Jess! He is very informed about the island and helped us navigate it with ease. He also prepared a lovely breakfast for us each morning and chatted kindly with us at the start of each day. I would recommend his accommodations to anyone looking for a great escape. We hope to return.
Thomas was very welcoming and the room was fine and location and parking very good.
Thomas was a great host - friendly, helpful and even provided us with a light breakfast and towels for the beach. Location is unbeatable - easy walking distance to Main St, the ferry and all downtown activities. The house and room itself is a Nantucket original, full of authentic charm, and a great value. Def would recommend a stay at Thomas's!
The house is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood conveniently located within walking distance to the town with shops, restaurants and the Hyline ferry.
The room is very accurately described on Airbnb. My favorite part was the spacious bathtub. Tom offered to let is stay in the larger room since there were no other guests. We accepted. We loved the original charm of the house.
Tom was friendly and helpful when we told him we were going to rent a moped to get around the island. We would recommend this place to our friends.
Thomas was an easy and respectful visitor. He came quietly, made a minimal impact on the house and was a pleasure to meet. He was my first guest and if they are all as great as he was...I'm a happy Airbnb host. I hope to go stay at his place on Nantucket one day.
I have known Tom since 1963, when we were in the fifth grade together-best friends then and now. Tom is extremely knowledgeable, meticulous and thorough-qualities which made him a superior school teacher and which ideally suit him as a host. His hosting of paying guests is easily on a par with his hosting of his friends when we visit him on the island, which would appear to be why he has so many top-notch reviews. The fact that he is a direct descendent of the first European settler on the island in 1659-and the fact that he has taken the trouble to learn all about the island's history and is so facile in relating it to his guests-should make anyone's visit to his home a memorable experience in every positive sense.
