We had a great time visiting the Lily pad in Nee Orleans! We were in town for Essence Fest and enjoyed the great location. Erin was very helpful with whatever we needed. This location is perfect if you want to stay close to the exciting part of town (French Quarter), but not too close. You can walk to Frenchman street. The place was clean, modern and had everything we needed for our weekend trip.
The Lily Pad was extremely inviting and wonderfully curated. It is located within walking distance to great food, drinks and music, yet enough out of the way that you can have peace and quiet. The apartment itself was very smartly filled with books about New Orleans as well as menus from local restaurants, a pair of local beers in the mini fridge and great records to get you in the NOLA vibe. The apartment, which felt like its own separate house, has been masterfully renovated yet maintains its historic feel. The shutters open to let in magnificent light, and there were two sets of french doors leading out to a small paradise of a yard. Our hosts seemingly thought of everything a guest would need, from fresh folded towels ready in the bath, copious amounts of bath products, to popcorn and chocolate in case we needed a snack, and the aforementioned beers. Travis and Erin made excellent recommendations for food and fun, and were very accommodating and flexible when it came to our departure time. Five stars all the way around.
Great place - convenient location a few blocks walk from Marigny and Bywater bars, restaurants and venues. Well appointed - including some nice little details like Abita beers in the fridge, New Orleans literature on the shelves, and a record player - and overall very clean and relaxing. Check in was easy, and Erin and Travis were flexible and accommodating.
They were great. The space was private as promised. Very comfortable place with books on what to do in town (Bywater specifically) and very clean.
The neighborhood was great and it was easy for us to get to wherever. Great hosts!
Staying in the airstream was more than me and my partner could have hoped for. If there was a downside, it was that we didn't want to leave. It's surprisingly spacious, and our hosts had the mosts.
We followed a lot of their recommendations, which all paid off. The neighborhood is cool and not touristy. Definitely stay here if you're on the edge about it, it's really a special experience.
Staying at the lily pad was perfect. The Bywater is an eclectic and fun part of town, and the lily pad itself was clean and comfortable with great decor. My boyfriend and I loved the record player and sipping beers in the side yard. It really felt like a little home for a couple of days! Erin and Travis were on holiday the weekend we stayed at the lily pad, but everything was all set up and they were super communicative and accommodating. Thank you!
Super cute interior. Beers and chocolate left with welcome note made us smile upon arrival. Comfy bed and nice bathroom. Great book of resources for exploring the city.
We loved our experience at the Lily Pad! The accommodations were lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. Erin and Travis were great hosts, and we really enjoyed seeing New Orleans with the Bywater as our home base!
Elegant, chic space in a very hip and down to earth (not to mention friendly) neighborhood. The space is small, but may be the most carefully and lovingly outfitted rental I've ever stayed in. Erin and Travis were also gracious and flexible about check-in. I wish we could have stayed longer!
We came to New Orleans to elope and things couldn't have gone more perfectly in every respect. Our experience with Erin and Travis was divine. We say, "ditto" to all of the previous reviewers. Such a beautiful space, a comfy homebase stocked with everything you might need or crave after exploring this insanely lovely town (popcorn, peanut butter, oatmeal, eggs, marmalade, bubble bath, hair dryer, the list goes on!). They do not cut corners in any way; everything, including cutlery and dishware, is quality. Love the pretty "made in NOLA" ceramic dishes and mugs! One great thing not previously mentioned is the built-in closet next to bathroom equipped with 2 hangers, and also drawers and a cubby under bed for your luggage, clothes, etc. These folks are super friendly and accommodating, while still giving you complete privacy. It was the best marriage/honey moon experience we could ask for. Please stay here!
Erin and Travis were delightful guests in every way. I would have them back in a New York minute! Fun, quiet, respectful and just great people to get to know. Thanks!
Wonderful guests who we loved having stay with us and would welcome them back again in the future !!!
Such sweet and lovely guests. We would be honored if they showed up again one day at our doorstep!
Erin + 1 were very pleasant to exchange with. Communication was clear and friendly. They arrived when they said they would. Unfortunately I had to leave a key and didn't get to meet in person due to schedule conflict. House was left very tidy. I highly recommend her.
Great guest. A pleasure to communicate with.
We loved meeting & hosting Erin & Travis. Interesting fun couple. Cabin was left in great shape. Highly recommend.
Erin and her partner were awesome! They were great company and easy to accommodate. We look forward to hopefully staying with them, as they are hosts in New Orleans!
