Patsy is so nice and kind. The property was well kept and peaceful. Plenty of chairs to sit in next to the creek. The neighboring apartment was quiet and did actually have someone else staying in it as well. Didn't notice any noise.
There are plates and glassware to use as you need. Well stocked towels. The A/C works great, if you're curious. The property across the creek had a horse or two that was beautiful to watch romp around in the misty morning. Very much a rustic view and super calming. The place was clean, and well kept. The water pressure was fine. It's a nice little room with a BIG king bed. I like hard mattresses and this one was just perfect for our backs after a day of rockhounding!
The cottage was comfortable and clean... nice quiet setting.....great location for us since we were taking our daughter to Penland school of crafts. Also easy access to shopping /dining.
Patsy was helpful with her knowledge of the area.
We had a wonderful experience. We came here the night before I went to take a class at Penland ( which if you need a place to stay nearby, this is a great close option) and it was so cute. The bedroom was lovely, the house was clean and just what we needed. We were blown away by the views and it was just so beautiful. We only wish we were staying longer but both agreed that we will be back to stay for a longer trip.
We loved staying at the cottage! The land was beautiful. The fireflys were amazing. The space was clean and welcoming.
I had a wonderful (but altogether too short) stay in this cottage. Set in a stunningly beautiful part of the state, the Yellow Cottage is cozy and comfortable and a great place to hang one's hat while exploring the lush and fecund beauty of the area.
Your host, Patsy, was very friendly and welcomed us into her home and yet we hardly knew she was there. The place exceeded our expectations. It was remote and quiet and suited our group of 20 perfectly! The view was perfect and we had a lovely fire in the outdoor campfire every night. It was like sleep away camp with the two bunkrooms. Our wedding guests loved it and a good time was had by all. It was a quick 3 mile drive from restaurants and stores. Not too far from Asheville. Thanks, Patsy! Look forward to coming back.
Patsy was an excellent host. Her cottage was clean and charming. My wife and I had a wonderful time in the Spruce Pine area. There was plenty to do, and we enjoyed being so close to so many places of interest.
Beautiful location, comfortable cottage with cute, old fashioned interior decorating. Our children loved playing in the stream and seeing the horses in the paddock behind the cottage. Thanks for accommodating us Patsy
The cottage is set next to a running stream, at the base of a hill, surrounded by horses n gorgeous landscape. There is a gas grill and also a fire pit which I wish I had been able to use if it weren't rainy n too late in the evening. If anything, I do not think Patsy's description does the place justice. It was much nicer then and more beautiful then I could have imagined!
The living space is simple and quaint but has everything thing one needs to enjoy themselves n relax. Each room is equipt with their own thermostat, which I thought was nice and very convenient. The cottage is close to town and very close to Penland School of Craft for those not wanting to stay on campus during their week long workshops.
Patsy was a really great host; she responded to my request quickly, made us feel really welcome, and her house was really nice!!
