I'm a structural engineer from London.
I like to travel with my wife and we've recently been to India, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Belgium and Paris. We've travelled overland by train and ferry to lots of these places which as been good fun and led to a lot of adventures and nearly-missed trains and ferries (including one nail-biting race for a ferry from Greece to Italy which ended in a full sprint across the port at Piraeus!). I've also travelled to quite a few places in Europe with various choirs, and saw a bit of North India and Nepal when I went in 2005.
In my spare time, I am into music and theatre: I like to sing in choirs, act in plays and musicals, and listen to all kinds of music including classical and jazz (especially 1930's swing). I also love cooking - pretty much everything I learned from my mum has stood me in good stead so far at university and now in 'real life'.
I'm quite a laid-back traveller and I don't mind organising things as I go, but I've learned to be a bit more organised since travelling with my wife! We tend to pack in sights and try and soak up the atmosphere of a place in the evening with a nice meal out and a walk around town.
