Great location, very accomodating host and good customer service.
When my original reservation could not be fulfilled due to construction in the area (which cut off power/water for many city blocks), I was upgraded to a more modern/bigger apartment free of charge.
The particlaur unit I rented on (Larco Ave, 2nd floor) is not modern, but very comfortable and located in a great location. The noise from the traffic on Larco Ave, which I knew about ahead of time, may be an issue for some guests. But there are units available in other locations nearby at different prices, so I recommend asking for further information if this is a concern.
There was a few problems with renting an apartment in Miraflores, Peru: (1.) The Apt. was not what we saw advertised on the web in the photos we had ask for a 3 bedroom as advertised and got a 2 bedroom and a small maids room, the sink in the kitchen did not work the first two days, one of the beds was broken. (although all for the same price). (2.) The refrigerator leaked, and the drier/washer rocked through the kitchen these were from the 1980's. (3.) A one cup coffee maker for an Apt. that was for 4 adults, dishes and glasses that did not match. (4.) If you're going to rent Apartments and you don't trust them DO NOT RENT TO THEM if you are going to rent Apartments Trust them and DO NOT show up at the apartment every 2 days and give a phoney excuse for showing up.
All was good. The only thing would be the street noise.. Larco avenue is full of cars. But if you dont mind the apartment is good.
We enjoyed our stay and the apartment was in a great part of Lima. Apartment was clean and as pictured. Only thing that was a issue was the street noise at night. Owner provided a fan and that was a huge help. Owner very responsive. We loved getting to know Lima and this was a great central location to do that.
Este comentario lo puedo escribe gracias a airbnb ya que envíe una queja ya que el anterior comentario lo había escrito la dueña del departamento me hizo iniciar sesión y ella sola lo escribió poniéndose todo maravilloso y todas las estrellas sin saber que opinaba yo, lo que me hace dudar que todos los comentarios qe leí antes de alquilar los haya escrito ella y no los huéspedes.En las fotos las habitaciones parecían mucho más amplias de lo que realmente eran, al igual que los colchones. La canilla de la cocina tenía varios problemas ya que no salía casi agua y agua caliente directamente no salía. La vajilla era como todo un rejunte no había dos platos de un juego 2 de otro y así sucesivamente. La ubicación no es tan buena ya que se escuchan todos los ruidos de la calle y a las 8 am todos los días te despiertan más ahora que esan construyendo algo ahí cerca todo el día con ruidos molestos. No me pareció que me alquilarán el departamento con un televisor en cada habitación y luego me llamen que debían llevarse uno de ellos. Como también me disgusto una situación que la persona que alquilaba vino con la excusa de buscar toallas y término siendo que vino con un extraño al departamento a mostrárselo donde estaban todas nuestras pertenencias sin un precio aviso. Me pareció un acto gravísimo. Por último tuve problemas con la entrega de la garantía ya que alquile otros días aparte a través de ella se fue de viaje y no dejo a nadie a cargo de mi situación viajaba un jueves que salía a las 6 am al aeropuerto y después de todo un día desperdiciado de mis vacaciones viendo a donde contactarla y pidiéndole un horario exacto y quien pasaría a darme el dinero lo cual nunca tuve porque decidió no contestar más el teléfono. A las 12 de la noche a expensas mías conseguí que me llevarán el dinero pero me lo trajeron en soles lo que yo recalque qe lo quería en dólares cuando alquilé a las doce de la noche todas las personas saben que no se puede cambiar en ningún lado plata lo tuve que cambiar en el aeropuerto donde el cambio es mayor y termine perdiendo dinero y viéndome yo perjudicada. Con esta ultima actitud NO LE ALQUILARÍA NUNCA MÁS ME PARECIÓ POCO PROFESIONAL, Y CON ACTITUDES MUUUUUY INMADURAS.
Very poor overall experience. On the day of my arrival in Lima i was moved to another apartment in the same building. Apartment wasn't well cleaned (water kettle was disgusting), kitchen had very little in the way of silverware, or plates and nothing to clean dishes with. Were given two towels for the bath, one normal and one tiny. Bed sheets were stained. Then with 3 nights left in our stay 9 night stay we were moved to a hotel with notice only given the night before. Wasted half a day waiting on someone to come move me. Communication was horrible and fault kept being pushed to me. During the discussion of this move communication by Andrea or one of the other 2 people that work with her was attempted off Airbnb even when i kept moving the emails back to airbnb. Was told the hotel was paid for and then when checking out the hotel the hotel staff was unaware of this. Luckily the staff said they would handle it and allowed me to leave without paying for something i had already paid for. Would never recommend staying with Andrea.
Todo bien excepto por un cambio de departamento de última hora, habiamos pedido uno de 3 piezas y finalmente nos quedamos en uno de 2, lo malo es que tenia solo 1 baño ( eramos 4 personas) y además el departamento tenia olor a humedad,
Esta muy bien ubicado y cada vez que tuvimos un problema la dueña se vio muy dspuesta a solucionarlo.
The directions and instructions for getting to the apartment were given a little bit late and by too many people so that was confusing. But on the overall the host was very nice and responsive to our questions and requests.
Extremely disappointed. We booked the room based on the size of the bed in the pictures and the fact it was off a major avenue (as per the original address listed in the airbnb profile). We arrived and found a small bed that barely fit us (I am 6'4") and a 40 minute hassle to connect the wifi. We tried to look at the apt the day before check in, only to find that the address did not exist. We wasted 1 1/2 hours of our vacation searching for a non existent address. It was listed as 494 and after we called the agent, she said she didn't know the address and then had to call us back with the address of 481 She talked us into an additional night. Which we accepted and paid her $50 in cash. That night was impossible to sleep as it is right on a major avenue versus the 492 we thought we had (which would have been off the major avenue) and was EXTREMELY noisy. NOT ACCEPTABLE ! This is a bait and switch advertisement. There were cockroaches in the bathroom, only two bath towels were provided (no hand towels). There was also no coffee pot. And this is an 'entire' apt for a 5 night stay. We had to leave and find a hotel. We emailed Andrea our displeasure with detail and received no apology, just 'I'll bring towels and coffee pot". We feel we are deserved a refund AND an apology. If this is typical of the product provided by Air B&B, we will never consider using your services and certainly would never recommend this site. I've been traveling for 25 years and this is the first time I was ever forced to find replacement accommodations. We are very eager for your reply.

Andrea was very helpful, even with our late arrival in Lima. We were moved to another apartment in Miraflores, on Calle Porta, and it was terrific. 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, wifi, cable TVs, a big well-equipped kitchen, a grill on the back patio, and a nice view of Parque Kennedy. Walking distance to a Wong department store, to Calle de Pizzas (Pizza Street with restaurants) , great shops, not far from the beach. The doorman was helpful too. This apartment had a bit of street noise, but it was a small price to pay for being at the center of Miraflores! We're planning our next trip, and would love to come back with friends and family, since there is so much space, and such great access to the city. Gracias Andrea!
