A nicely located apartment that the owner decorated with care. Weston is a charming host, welcoming yet discreet. He is accommodating and will help you find your way around this vibrant neighborhood.
Moving to New York is quite a challenge and being that I needed to be in New York a week before my apt was ready, I was in a dilemma. I truly appreciated being able to stay at Weston's apt to alleviate my issue. His apt is in a great neighborhood with tons of charm and his apt is cozy and tidy. The room I stayed in provided more than enough room and the bed was comfortable as well. I was in class for 9-12 hours per day that I was there, so it provided the basics that I need. I didn't get to actually meet Weston, but he always checked to make sure that I was well taken care of. Overall, I recommend staying here. Oh...and his cats are very friendly too! (but they shed so beware of cat hair).
Staying at Weston's was the ultimate NY experience. I felt like I was in my own very hip, ultra-cool apartment inn the city! He has a great personal style on display in his very comfortable home. He was very accommodating and always very helpful.
I had a wonderful stay with Weston! Though he wasn't around when I checked in, he was kind enough to make the keys available to pick up at my convenience, and had a nice note typed up with everything I needed to know for my stay. We tended to be running on opposite schedules, but in the time we did cross paths he was friendly and genuine. His apartment is a beautiful little place in a vibrant part of the city. Definitely look him up if you need a place in the East Village!
This is a fantastic place to stay, Weston's home has a charming eclectic atmosphere, and feels somewhat enchanted. There are wonderful details from strange venus fly-traps to curious furniture and finishings which each seem to have a peculiar and fascinating story embodied in them. Weston has considered small details in a lovely personal way such as hand typed (as one does with a typewriter) guide to the apartment and the neighborhood. Merman-Frou and Leo are two affectionate and inquisitive cats that are vigilant and wonderfully accommodating hosts. The room is small but the bed is comfortable, and there is a closet to hang your clothes, and a chest to rest your things on. And the room gets plenty of sunlight. The linen is clean and the house is neat and very comfortable. I didn't use the kitchen much but it seemed well stocked with what one needs to cook. The shower has great pressure. Weston is a charming and friendly host, who was very forthcoming with info and made me feel right at home. I was so busy exploring the city that I didn't get as much time as I had hoped to get to know him better. Also the neighborhood is in a fantastic part of town, and walking down 7th, 8th or 9th street to get up to 1st Ave subway is always interesting.
Weston has a great place in a great location! There is everything you need (grocery / restaurants / nice places to have a drink / parks) within walking distance and it is located in a great neighbourhood. The apartment had everything I needed : a room with a window and a little bit of privacy since Weston's room is located upstairs of the apartment. Communication with Weston was perfect, so no stress when you have to plan the trip, and he made me feel very confortable offering me to use anything I wanted in the house, and giving a list of things to do in the hood. I would recommend staying at Weston's place.
Weston and his friends were wonderful guests. I didn't get to meet in person bc of my work schedule, but we stayed connected via texts. He was so kind and clean. I hope he comes back to stay!
