My family and I (5 persons) spent two weeks in the Meg's apartment. It was my first experience with airbnb and my first stay in Japan. It was a great and wonderfull experience. The apartment was very comfortable and very clean : I felt like at home in a Japonese style flat (I enjoyed the Japonese bathroom !) The location is perfect to discovered the city and there are many restaurants and convenient stores in the vicinity (I recommande the bar at the corner of the street, the owner is very friendly). Meg was very reactive to answer to all of my questions and was very friendly.
If I have another chance to go back to Tokyo, Meg's room will be my only choice.
Arriving on the day Tokyo have the most snow in 45 years and arriving late to Tokyo Station by 4 hours, it was service beyond expectation by Meg and her husband.
With no Taxis in sight, Meg's Husband made 2 trips to ferry my family of 6 person with 6 big luggage to their apartment in the snow covered roads of Tokyo.
After traveling the whole day from Sapporo, arriving at 11pm, 4 hours late due to snow, and feeling tired, hungry, wet and cold, Meg had 6 cup noodles ready in the apartment for my family. This level of service is beyond a simple "Thanks" it is greatly appreciated by my family and it will always be the best cup noodle in the world.
Meg took the time to have a map of the area and showed my family where the apartment was on the map as well as the nearest convenience store, that helped us enormously when orientating ourselves when we go out.
Meg and her husband showed great empathy to our plight and was extremely helpful and perceptive to our needs at that time.
My family and I had the most wonderful time in Tokyo despite the problems we had getting to Tokyo and it was mainly to due the great warm start given by Meg.
Being able to speak, read and write Japanese after living in Tokyo for 5 years, Meg's apartment was exactly as promised, Meg even got us a Japanese "Kotatsu" which my daughter wanted to experience. A lovely and extremely convenient apartment for anyone.
Thank You Meg for making my family's visit to Tokyo a wonderful success.
I had great time when I stayed in Tokyo. This was my forth time to Tokyo but was the greatest experience so far. Meg's apartment is really cozy and cheerful when I lived in just like at home. There are many restaurants nearby and just walk a few mins to metro. I could go everywhere easily. The most important thing is meg provide pocket wifi to guests. It was useful and helpful when I had questions I could use my i phone and connect wifi to search answer. Next time when I go to Tokyo , it's absolutely choose Meg's apartment again. :)
My wife, myself and two young boys had the pleasure of spending three nights in Meg's apartment. It suited our requirements perfectly and Meg exceeded our expectations. Meg and her husband kindly collected us from Tokyo Station; showed us through her apartment; then drove us to the Tsukiji Fish Market via a couple of other points of interest. Meg's apartment is located within walking distance of four Metro Lines (5 mins); JR Yurakucho Station (10 mins); Ginza shopping (s apartment should we stay in Tokyo again.
Meg is really nice and always ready to render us help whenever we need it! Her apartment was awesome too:) totally enjoyed our stay there! Facilities were great we felt so at home.
This is a great apartment in a very convenient location in Tokyo, close to a few different subway lines and within walking distance to Tsukiji fish markets! Meg was a great host and provided us with everything we needed in the apartment for our week's stay. We had a great time in Tokyo and would stay here again.
Meg's appartment is excellent!
we have been very lucky to find it.
Flat is new, clean, confortable, it is furnished with everything you need. it is 5-10 minutes walk from the wonderful GINZA.
you are in the center of TOKYO.
Meg and her family are extreemly kind and supportive. a big thank to Meg, her wonderfull child and husband
Meg's tokyo room is well equipped, clean and centralised. We spent 3 days in Tokyo and stay in meg's apartment. 1st day arrived, she greeted us at the door and showed us where to have good and cheap shabu shabu, she is so friendly and even offered to send us to tokyo station. My kids were having fun in her apartment because spacious and they really experience Japanese house, sleep on tatami. If we were to go Tokyo, will definitely stay in meg's apartment
Meg was a wonderful host. She and her family were kind enough to help us out with our luggage upon our arrival in Tokyo and guide us to the apartment . She also provided us with maps of the area along with recommended restaurants and sight-seeing suggestions.( thank you Meg! )
My personal impression of Meg's place --neat,tidy, cute and charming :) ... A home away from home.
We spent 3 wonderful days exploring Tokyo. The location of the apartment is really good. Both Ginza and the Tsukiji fish market are within walking distance,, which is a big plus .if I had a chance to visit Tokyo in the future, I'd love to put up at Meg's place again.
Meg and her family were great hosts and it was neat to see that this apartment is a family project. The apartment is in an excellent location for exploring the area (Tsukiji fish market, Ginza, Tokyo station) on foot and other parts of Tokyo by subway. They generously picked us up and dropped us off at the subway station (even though we arrived around midnight), and gave helpful tips and ideas for items to see and visit.
In the apartment itself, they have thought of pretty much everything you will need. There are maps and brochures, a heated toilet, shower products, towels, cooking and eating utensils, extra blankets and pillows on hand, and a wifi mobile hotspot to use for your time in Tokyo. It is a good sized apartment and seems great for traveling couples or small families.
One reason we like Airbnb is for the aspect of meeting locals and getting a small glimpse into the local culture that hotels don't offer. Meg's apartment is modern, clean, with distinctive Japanese features. Thank you Meg for your hospitality; we really enjoyed our visit!
