Rebecca's beautiful home was just as warm and cozy as depicted, although I would say it is even more delightful in person. The home is nestled away down a long winding street and we truly loved the remote location. Upon arrival it was easily noted how well maintained and clean the home was. Kathy and Rob who were right down the road were always available to answer any questions and really made us feel welcome.
While we stayed at the home we enjoyed the absolutely well thought out decor, early colonial chic, and sitting by the fireplace. Although I personally rather not watch t.v or use the internet on vacation that was available to other members of our party that couldn't unplug.
The home easily accommodated 3 couples with still 2 extra rooms to spare, and was perfectly situated for our ski vacation with several ski areas nearby, King Pine the closest. I can't wait till our travels take us back to Maine! We would most definately stay again.
A gorgeous home in a stunning location. We couldn't have picked a better vacation rental. The perfect marriage of rustic charm and modern design and convenience and all within a few miles from the center of Woodstock. Our host was attentive and responsive with the few questions we had and the house was clean and inviting. We would recommend this getaway to our friends and we are already planning our next visit. Thank you!
We had a lovely peaceful time at this special place. Everything we needed was in the house and we had so much space. The location is beautiful and the lake is quite spectacular. We will definitely go again if we are in the region.
Thank you Tracy. We loved having you at the house. Sorry that the weather was not so cooperative.
We had a great time at this vacation rental. It fit our needs to have a family get-together from all over North America. It was a VERY peaceful place for those looking to get away from everything. The house was very comfortable and my family loved the rustic look of it - especially the wood stove. I think we burned a cord of wood because we loved it so much!
The owners were nice enough to have milk, eggs, and coffee for us upon arrival which was so sweet of them. They let us know that if we needed anything, we only had to call. We had a big snowstorm while there and they came very early in the morning and had the area plowed out. Being from Florida, this was very much appreciated!
This place is located in the White Mountains and not far from North Conway. We tended to go there for everything. We were super excited to note that it had Outlet Shopping. I love a good Adidas store! Anyway, there are also many ski hills in the area. We went to King Pine and Attitash Mountain. We wanted to do the tube-sliding at King Pine during the night, but ran out of time.
The only negative thing I would say about this home was that it took awhile to get off the mountain in a snowstorm - but that was only because we were stupid enough to go out in a snowstorm!
We would definitely go back to this area. The home is nestled so nicely in the mountains that you really feel like you are on vacation.
