We spent four months in Candy’s apartment. She was very nice and really eager to help us, providing everything we needed even during the final months of her pregnancy. The apartment is cute with a very good kitchen and a balcony. Located on a quiet street, it is very close to the Buttes Chaumont, one of the most beautiful parks in Paris. We were lucky to see it under the snow on January. There is also a metro station (Danube, line 7 bis) and a bus stop (line 75) right in front of the building, which is very handy taking you everywhere you need in Paris. Thanks for everything, Candy, wish you and your family all the best!
The apartment of Candy is small but very charming. We stayed with our 6 month old daughter 3 weeks there and had a great time there. For our baby Candy support a special baby bed. Thanks a lot for this nice service! The apartment is clean and very quiet. The view from balcony is amazing - you can look to sacre coeur and Eiffelturm!
The traffic connection is also very good. With the baby stroller we mostly used the bus connection. The station is close to the apartment and the bus goes to central Paris (Pont Neuf) via Marais. Thats really perfect!!
We can recommend this apartment and will be coming back!
Candy and her place are both WONDErful! The apartment is situated in a very cute neighborhood that is not too touristy and yet holds some of that romantic Parisian charm. I even found a water-color class outside the front door one day painting a cafe across the square--Le Parisien.
Candy is herself amazing. She went to a lot of trouble to have a baby crib in the place for us, she made us extra keys, and she even helped me set up my bank account here. She is very easy to communicate with and sincerely interested in helping you find your way and enjoy the cultural activities Paris has to offer--every weekend she let me know about a festival or an art event that I would not have known about otherwise. She was incredibly patient with me when I had questions or requests of her. More than any of these gestures, she has been something like a friend to us, showing us around personally and helping us get into special play areas for our kids.
In short, she is a marvelous host and, by all accounts, a wonderful person in general. You will be getting more than just a comfy apartment if you stay at her place.
My Story: I arrived in Paris to Candy's father...a perfect gentleman. He helped me out of the lift and to the apt. He showed me around quickly so that I could just see the place and drop off my luggage. Then he went above and beyond and walked me to a metro stop down the road...helped me get a metro card for the week...and sent me to a central stop so that i could get to see some of the major sites in Paris.
Candice/CANDY ...a wonderful host. Takes care of her flat as she would say like her own child. It is lovely. It is equipped with anything you will need to cook if you wish although it is Paris and there are two cafes right outside the door one in front and one to the left if you just exit the flat. If you are a lone traveler or a couple it is very excessible to the metro...the flat is right in front of one. My only advice is to make sure of when the metro line closes down on what days if you want to be out late. Candy takes very good care of the apt. and so should you also. It has a balcony and a view that is of ideal. I would book and will book with Candy again husband or no husband....Thank you!
We had a really great stay at Candy's place. Very cool neighborhood and easy access to the Metro. Candy's dad, Roger, was very helpful giving us directions to grocery stores, bakeries and other necessities. Candy also made some great suggestions for things to do. The apartment was clean and tidy. Just right!
I stayed in Candy's apartment (Romantic flat) for four weeks in April 2011. I was totally pleased with the experience. Candy's apartment, located in a pleasant neighborhood, is an outstanding value for the money. The fully equipped kitchen and convenient nearby supermarkets make it easy to eat at home in Paris. The Metro station right outside the front door of the building is an incredible convenience. Both Candy and her father are wonderfully helpful hosts and speak fluent English. I heartily recommend Candy's apartment for Paris visits short or long.
Our stay at Romantic flat in downtown Paris was simply just that. But, it was so much more than just that. Easy to move around with the bus and Metro just steps from the front door. Many shops, cafes, boulongeries, butcher, bakers and supermarkets within short walking distance from the apartment. The apartment itself loaded with all of the necessary cooking utensils in order to lower the costs of a weeks stay in Paris. Our host was available for any question with a quick response. Vive le France with this place. An incredible value in the City of Lights. We would definetly stay here again. Thanks again Candy!
Candy was vey nice, and the apartment was cute and cozy. The kitchen was great and had a lt of the amenities needed, everything was overall great except that the room at night was a little chilly and a little small. The view was amazing and there are two small balconies. The metro was literally right outside the apartment and many bus lines passed right in front of the apt. I would definitely come back to this place.
Candy was great host: quick response, accurate directions, provided us with travel tips. We missed her on arrival because our flight via Zurich got delayed due to snow storms, so Candy had to leave us directions by e-mail on how to get into the APT by ourselves. When we got there, I still had problems getting in (largely due to my not reading Candy's instructions correctly), but she kindly answered my phone call in spite of the fact that it was already close to midnight. She guided us into the apt. The room was a bit smaller than what we had expected, but clean and cute. The view is nice. It was a bit cold so i would suggest to bring warm clothes to ware in the room. The best thing about the APT is that it is right on top of the metro entrance, so even with bad weather, we were able to take the metro without getting wet. Once we get used to taking the metro, the distance from the main attraction was not as bad. All in all, with the pricing, it is a good value.
Candice est une femme tres agreable avec un fond de gentillesse ainsi que sa famille, ils ont gardé la maison propre et en ordre, nous sommes ravis de vous avoir rencontrés, vous serez toujours les bienvenus, bisous aux enfants :)
