I'm Irish and have lived in London for 8 years. I live and work in Central London. I read a lot - fiction, history, nature, politics and pop culture, mostly. I love all sorts of live music and cinema, especially East Asian cinema, so I go to lots of concerts and film festivals. I enjoy cooking and eating out, so I'm always on the lookout for new foods to try when I'm travelling. I'm a keen walker and love exploring urban areas on foot. I take Korean classes as a hobby and can speak reasonable conversational Korean and some rusty French. I've travelled a lot in Ireland and the UK, Western Europe, East and West Coast USA and South Korea.
I prefer city holidays, with an emphasis on history, local culture and food, usually travelling with one or two friends. I like to stay in centrally located neighbourhoods with good value restaurants/street food, comfortable bars, and lots of places to explore on foot or by public transport. I'm used to living with street and traffic noise, so I don't mind staying in a busy, lively location as long as it's safe and not too rowdy.
