It is unprofessional to blame others when there is a problem, but I want to clarify that I was never informed of this problem.
I never ever confirm a reservation without prior check the availabilities, and in this case was no exception. I do not handle the books of the hotel, they are responsible to write down all the reservations requests.
If I had known of the problem at the moment, you can be sure that I had done enough to resolve the situation. If you did not hear news from me is because I was unaware.
