My wife and I have stayed here four times now and we love it. The pictures are accurate and the view and location is awesome. We will be back again next year!
beautiful house and very confortable. me, my wife and may 2 sons (5 and 10 years old), stayed there 8 nights. listen to me: go there and enjoy. aurelio.
My husband and I stayed at Clement's lovely flat for two nights. The apartment is just as depicted in the photos. Simple, yet charming and comfortable decor, and a spectacular view of Notre Dame, Saint Julien Le Pauvre church, and park! The location couldn't be better! There is a wonderful bar/restaurant (Aux Trois Mailletz) a stones throw away with live music upstairs, and a basement cave-like cabaret at night. Don't worry about the noise though, you wouldn't even know it was there from the apartment.
Clement was very friendly and accommodating. There were a few emails not responded to quickly, but he mentioned that there were some language barriers and he didn't understand 100% of my questions. He was great at responding to the important questions, flexible with arrival and departure time, and like others said, he helped carry our bags up the steep winding staircase.
As for the amenities: The shower has surprisingly good water pressure for being on the top floor of such an old and charming building. As noted by another Airbnb user, the kitchen is sparsely equipped, but meets the basic needs. We were happy to find a wine opener when we came home with a few bottles purchased on our first day! It was lovely to have a glass of wine and listen to the bells of the cathedral. The bed was suitable, not very soft, but not too hard. We were very comfortable sleeping there. The internet and television worked perfectly. Clement showed us how everything worked, and there were no problems during our stay. We had access to multiple English speaking television stations, the internet, and free international calls.
The only negatives I noted, were the steep staircase, and the fact that there was no air conditioning/fan. The stairs are pitch black at night, but we were lucky to have the light from our phones to help us navigate the winding path upstairs. We had weather in the mid 80's and it was a bit warm at night, even with the windows open. Both of these facts are addressed in the description though, so we knew what we were getting into.
We had such a unique and special visit in the city, being able to feel like you live right in the middle of it all. I would highly recommend staying at this wonderful flat, and have been raving about it to friends and family! We couldn't have had a better experience! Thank you clement!

Awesome location in Paris. We stayed with our two kids and loved being so close to everything.
A wonderful stay and our first time with airbnb. There were four off us staying and the apartment was small but it didn't matter to us as we spent most of our time exploring and it was a great base to do so. The stories of the endless flights of stairs is true but they seemed to get easier as the days progressed and they add to the charm of the place. Clement carried my huge suitcase all the way up the stairs. I'm not sure I would have managed on my own! Clement was friendly and relaxed. He was late to get in touch (the day before we arrived) but was really easy going as to when we arrived and left. The apartment has all the basics. We just had breakfast and the odd light lunch there. I probably wouldn't recommend it if you are planning to cook main meals there as the equipment was limited. The apartment was everything we expected although nothing can prepare you for the view!
My wife and I stayed for 5 nights in this apartment. As others have said it is a great location for everything Paris, from sites to food to transportation. The apartment is as pictured in the photos. It is not a fancy place by any means but sufficient for a short visit. It has a new washer/dryer combo which took awhile to figure out with my limited French but worked fine for very small loads at a time. Towels were provided for bathing. Refrigerator was a great asset. The 5 flights of stairs are a workout after walking all day. Definitely not for persons with limited stair climbing abilities. Clement does not respond to emails until about 2 days before arrival as others have stated. This can be a bit of a concern if you don't have access to email while traveling for days or weeks before your arrival. But he was a gracious host and met us at the agreed upon time and we didn't hear from him again the rest of our stay (he stayed across the hall from this apt). We didn't cook anything in the apartment other than warm a piece of pizza in the microwave. The apartment appears to be a work in progress, with bare sheetrock and such in places but not a problem. It was clean on arrival. Markets, restaurants, cafes are all within a few yards of the place. If I were to return to Paris and looking for an apartment, I would surely consider this one again.
Excelente ubicación. El departamento contaba con todo lo necesario, una rica pieza, buena cocina y baño. A pocas cuadras del metro y muchos restaurantes con vida nocturna.
This flat is great! It is just like the photos, very central and within range of the beautiful Notre Dame and its bells. The main room is spacious and the two double beds were very comfortable (one is a large pull out sofa).
Clement is a great host! As some others have mentioned he wasn't always easy to get in touch with before traveling but he is reliable and kind. He helped us carry our bags up the spiral staircase and was flexible about our arrival and departure time.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the flat and host to others.
This apartment is great. There is so much charm as stated in other reviews. The location is amazing. There are metro stops and an RER B stop just across the street which makes getting around so easy. The washer/dryer worked well. The wireless worked great. The apartment was quiet even though the neighborhood is very active well into the early hours of the morning. Clement met us at the apartment and was very friendly. The only negative I see is the stairs to the apartment. I knew there was a four level walk up but the stairwell is winding and somewhat difficult to climb with luggage. I would definitely recommend staying in this apartment.
Positive first: Great location and views. Wi-Fi works. Shower small but great. Quiet during night. Nice apartment with an even greater potential if the below mentioned aspects were taking care of.
Negative: No towels( had to buy our own). No soap for either washing machine nor the dishwasher(why). Running tap in kitchen disturbs living room sleepers during night(Why). And honestly; a nice place carefully renovated like this should have the last cosmetic finish done urgently. May we recommend a freshening up white wall paint job on most of the walls.
If these complaints were carried out, the potential of a 1st class apartment is still there. Go for it!
