The apartment was warm and cosy with fantastic views of the city, especially at night. The location in heart of the city was ideal for our needs and trams and buses literally on our doorstep. Although there is a small kitchen, it was only suitable for preparing tea and toast for breakfast and not much more which is ok if staying only for the weekend or a few days. Thankyou Neil we enjoyed our stay in your lovely apartment.
Neil gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived, and shared some very interesting stories. We felt at home as Neil made us very comfrotable. Robert was very prompt in ansering emails and gave clear directions about what we needed to do.
This accommodation in Collins St is great value for such a central location.
The unit was clean and interesting with plenty of things to interest and occupy the traveller.
The great view looking down into Market street was even better at night.
This apartment was exactly as described so warm and inviting. Neill had it subtly lit and greeted us with a friendly smile and set about to explain all the elements of the apartment as well as many other little titbits that were handy. The view is fabulous across to the river and its location is so central to food transport and events.
The beds were super cosy and i didn't want to leave.
Thanks so much for sharing this home away from home - I'm sure i will return.
A charming apartment in the heart of Melbourne with fantastic views down Market St. Period furniture made it feel like a home away from home. It was equipped with everything one could need ( & more!) Neil made us feel welcome & gave suggestions on where to get provisions & places to eat. Highly recommended.
Robert is a responsive, accommodating and flexible host. Communication was prompt, friendly and hassle-free. Neil, who met me at the apartment, is a delight. The apartment is in a renovated building and features a very modern bathroom, but is otherwise decorated with an old world charm. There are many personal touches and amenities that make you feel you've been welcomed in someone's home, rather than merely staying in a flat for hire. I very much enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.
A wonderful weekend at a gem in Collins Street. I was greeted by Neil and had a lovely conversation about the paintings and (website hidden) friend and I loved staying and look forward to being able to come back for another stay very soon.Fabulous location -close to both trains and trams for getting around .
Perfect one night stay. The apartment is incredibly convenient to downtown attractions and well served by the free public transportation trams. Hosts have maintained this home with so much heart - you will feel the history and in the lovingly collected furnishings. Modern and clean bathroom. Comfy beds.
Neil was such a delight and I could have sat down with a whiskey and heard all his tales, but was exhausted from our travels. It was a little bit of character in the heart of Melbourne and the view forever entertaining!
Robert was very welcoming and easy to contact. The house is a a perfect beach house in a great private location really close to the beach. The garden is lovely and the beds are comfortable! The record collection is a wonderful bonus. We will definitely stay here again. Lori
