My name is Daniel. I was born and raised in Mississauga (Suburban City beside Toronto). I am a mechanical engineer by profession and a recent graduate from the University of Toronto. I have been enjoying my position at an Automation and Control company for the past two years. In University I was heavily involved with a competition called FSAE, in which a small group of dedicated students annually designed, built and raced an open wheel race car from scratch, competing at various international events. I also mentored a local FIRST Robotics high school team, which is possibly the most inspiring and rewarding commitment I have ever made.
When I am not working or volunteering my time I love playing soccer (at least twice a week), sailing, enjoying live music and spending time with close friends and family. I have had a few opportunities to travel both within Canada and internationally. My favourite travel experiences include visiting the town where my grandparents emigrated from in Italy (Vinchiaturo), enjoying the architecture and beaches in Barcelona, backpacking through Bavaria and visiting a close friend on a road trip to Moncton, New Brunswick and Halifax, Nova Scotia. I am determined to see more of Canada and I would love to do a tour of South America.
As per Airbnb's suggestion if I have a life motto it is that: "Like all things, you get out of life what you put in".
