Christophe and his family are one of the best people I have ever met. He is caring, patient, smile a lot, and very willing to help. He is also easy to communicate with, easy going, friendly and very understaing. All of his family are lovely, clean, and on time.
Here is the story, happened on a summer afternoon, when they checked in: I was on the hall way while my 3-year-old little girl walked outside to find me. She closed the door, without realized the door was set as auto-locked. I put my purse, (with wallet, cellphone, phone book, contact info, keys, credit cards, everything,) inside of that door.
Just when I talked to my little girl that we seemed being locked outside, (The little girl didn't get it yet...), the door bell rang....from inside of the door, which was just locked.
I couldn't reach that telcom or buzz them in. So, I took my little girl went downstairs to meet them. It was them. Christ and his family arrived on time. They were surprised to know the situation, But Christ was very polite and patient. He said they can wait for me while I go find the locksmith on the corner. Even the hardware store was near, but the locksmith was busy. It actually took about 20 mins for Christ and his family waited outside of my building. When walked back, I saw Christ hold his friendly smile, with a caring concern face. I told him the locksmith will need about one hour to open the door and fix everything, He said that's ok, they can wait. I couldn't believe I was so lucky to meet such a nice person....it was in a hot summer afternoon ....when everyone was sweating....(and they actually didn't get lunch yet but that's what I found out later...) How can a whole family together with kids, can be so nice and patient when they are sweated, tired, and hungry?
I suggested him to leave stuff on hall way and go walk around the area while locksmith is working. He then said they will go catch the lunch meal. Next surprising happened... he gave me a $20 bill. He took money out from his wallet and said to me, "You should need some money....$20 might not be enough... do you need more?" and he really meant so....
I couldn't believe what I had heard..... He didn't blame me, he didn't blame the situation. All he noticed was "someone needs help, and I can help." In the above sitation, most guests would be anxious, feel unlucky, blaming, or feel wasting time. Instead of those negitive emotion, he was offering help, with cheering voice, and smily face.
Can you believe there are such nice people exist in this cold world? I don't remember I had met one.
I feel, Christ and his family are willing to work as a team, with understanding and support. Christ is also a good leader of the family, He and his wife, together with 2 kids, all response quick and on time. I figure "team work" and "on time" are very important essentials for a family, especially at travel. And they did very well.
In the other part, they are very clean, follow house rules, easy to communicate with, always friednly and very helpful. I recommond them to the other hosts. Thanks, Christ!
