Great location and clean apartment. The only issue (and I should know this, having stayed in Manhattan several times before) is the noise level on the street. Even though you're three flights up, the traffic/honking on the street at night can wake a light sleeper. Earplugs are a good idea. That said, I would stay at Tom's again if I had business in the area; the bed was comfy.
Great apt, in a great location. The area is close to subways and restaurants. The place was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and Tom was an incredibly inviting host. He helped us out with some recommendations and was very accommodating in terms of keys and times.
Reasonable size, but crowded with renter's stuff, and *cold*. Clean but not new. Up on 3rd floor.
My mom and I stayed at Tom's place and absolutely loved it!! Perfect location, close to everything NYC, very safe and comfortable. Tom was so helpful and easy to work with. I would stay again for sure.
Simple accommodation located in the perfect place for easy access to Time Square and the midtown area. Short walk to subway. A little noisy at night with traffic, but that is what you would expect in NY.
Live as a New Yorker! I’m a frequent traveler to New York and this is the first time I stayed at Tom’s place. I loved it! The apartment is very New Yorkish, except for the space which is quite generous. A real kitchen is hard to find in a one bedroom apartment in the city, and it’s welcome. The apartment is perfectly situated in Hell’s Kitchen and there are lots of restaurants and bars close by. I did use my earplugs and had no problem with the traffic (I am a light sleeper). The air conditioners are efficient. There’s a subway station on 50th Street with A, C and E lines which take you fast to every part of Manhattan. Tom is a perfect host, he answered promptly and met me at the apartment when I came to it and when I left. There’s no cleaning fee. I left the apartment in the same order as when I came: I cleaned up after myself. And yes, I’d like to stay here again!
Tom's place was in a great location. We stayed for four nights, air conditioning made it very comfortable when it was warm. Wifi worked great. The apartment was as pictured. The contact with Tom was good, he checked in with us by email while we were there. We had his contact numbers but we didn't experience any problems. Lots of information for are provided. Great neighbourhood and great restaurants. I was pleased with my first experience with Airbnb. Thanks Tom!
Very cozy apartment with the best location. Close to Everything like Central Park, Times Square, shops and restaurants.
Tom is a very nice person.
We really recommend to stay at his Place.
We had a great experience in NewYork staying in Tom¡s apartment. We met Tom in the apartment and although we had no problems and did not have to contact him for everything it was reassuring that Tom made himself available at all times. Vr¡ery well organised he left us usefull up to date information on New York which was helpfull for moving around and deciding what to do. The location of the apartment is definately its best feature. Easy to find, close to everything by just some minutes walk. Apartment was clean, had all we needed for our stay. Many thanks for everything Tom, next time around your apartment will definately be our first choice!
Great apartment in a great location!! Tom was a brilliant host, very accommodating with regard to checking in and out. Apartment was immaculately clean, in a very quiet and safe apartment block and neighbourhood. Very accessible to all tourist locations such as Times Square, Central Park, and Broadway. Highly recommend this apartment and it's host ...!
I had the pleasure of photographing Tom's apartment. *Excellent location!* Nestled in Midtown/Hells Kitchen/Clinton Hill, Tom's place has all the charm you'd expect of a local who's lived there for 10+ years. Tom himself is easy going and personable, and even created a welcome guide with maps and resources for guests to read upon arrival. I would recommend his apartment to 1-2 travelers (or a couple) looking for an affordable place to stay in the center of Manhattan.
