Laura and her friends were great guests - they let me know early when they would be arriving and they left the place clean - would be happy to host them again.
Many thanks to Laura and her group for making their 1st airbnb stay an enjoyable and relaxing one! Laura and her group were easy going and friendly. Laura communicated well verbally and in writing. Sometimes life throws you a curveball, such as a heavy traffic jam, and delays your initial, prearranged check-in time. Being delayed, Laura contacted me immediately and later several times and gave me updated, estimated arrival times.
I am glad that Laura and her group found my instructions, recommendations, and explanations to be clear, helpful, and reasonable. Despite a 1 1/2-2 hour delay, they were then still able to settle comfortably and quickly into the residence, pay their remaining balance promptly, park, go and eat dinner, and travel to and attend their main event in time.
Another benefit with Laura being understanding, reasonable, and abiding by my residence's rental policy is that it saves her, Laura the guest, and me, the host, from possible future headaches and lawsuits. For example, this week, airbnb removed 2000 airbnb New York City rental listings, because they were possibly illegal. New York state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has been trying to get a list of every New York airbnb host and guest. Also this week, airbnb and Mr. Scheiderman are involved in a lawsuit and in court debating these issues and more.
I wish I did not have to collect the Pennsylvania state through Philadelphia city taxes for the residence rental. However, collecting and paying these taxes help keep the rental legal. The residence rental has been licensed by the city of Philadelphia and the state of Pennsylvania. Laura and all future guests staying in the residence can then rest assured that they are staying in a legal rental place.
