Hi, I'm Taiwanese work in HK. I usually travel between Taiwan and HK.
My place are all private apartment. For easier arrangement, Please call 30 mins before you check in.
Pros: My stay was very relaxing and comfortable. The pictures are accurate and the room was very large considering Hong Kong standards. The location is very quiet and has a top rated dim sum place across the street. They cleaned my room twice during a 4 night stay. The cleaners were very nice. The place is easy to access from the airport using the MRT and getting off at Kowloon station. The shower was large and the air conditioning was very powerful.
Cons: The toilet area is small but it is the standard size in Hong Kong. The toilet does not flush that well. The location is not the most convenient for the MRT as you need to transfer to a main line or you can walk to Jordan station, which is a 15 minute walk. There were a couple cockroaches and tiny ants. But the room itself was very clean, so I suspect the neighbouring apartments may be the cause of the cockroaches.
I would stay here again.
We stayed in Carlson's apartment for 3 nights. We had a bit of an issue with the door lock on our first night but we think it was because of the air pressure inside the room because nothing was stolen when we got back. They were very accommodating, especially the ladies who helped us check in. The bed was very comfy as well. The neighborhood was perfect because there are a lot of restaurants downstairs!
The apartment was very clean, quiet at night and in a good location (within walking distance of many restaurants, hotels, etc.). There is a supermarket nearby. Although the room was tiny, it was enough for 2 people.
We are very enjoy our staying. It's close to Austin station which quite convenience for us. We have change the other room as I decide to stay one more day. We prefer that 1 bedroom better.
Thanks for having us Carlson!
The studio is well located with easy access to MTR. Very close also to the bus stop for the free airport shuttle bus that goes to and from Kowloon station. The studio is comfortable and clean with aircon (a must!), kitchenette, fridge and a powerful shower.
Internet access was poor however, only working in some parts of the studio and also insecured, which can be a huge security problem for travellers not aware of the fact.
Big TV screen, rather uneccessary, as the reception is very very bad and it's difficult to see anything, (and anyway there is only one channel in english!).
It was great to have a washing machine, but there was nowhere to hang our clothes to dry them as no drying rack was provided!
Overall this is a convenient, quiet and comfortable place to stay in Hong Kong and we recommend it.
We stayed in Carlson'[s apartment in Hong Kong for 5 nights.
The communication with Carlson was great and the transition to the apartment was very easy.
For older people, beware of the steep hill leading up to the apartment.
Thankyou to the young girl that assisted with our luggage.
The apartment had great security, was very clean and had everything necessary for life in Hong Kong.
There was a lift right up to the apartment.
Thank you Carlson for hosting us.
Although we never met Carlson in person, he responded emails and our requests efficiently. He has an assistant to answer local phone calls, we had no problem reaching him. The room is clean, tidy and well-equipped, the double bed is big enough for two. The building is old but the room is newly refurbished. We would recommend anyone to stay in Carlson's apartment if they want an easy access to the city center.
Our main reason for choosing this accommodation was the location. We definitely were not disappointed! Would stay there again. The apartment was adequate for us. Comfy bed, nice and quiet for such a bustling location and the air con was really appreciated. Also were able to wash some clothes which was great (bring a traveller's elastic clothes line).
The room is a very good size especially for HK! It is in a good location close to Jordan MTR station, and there are many restaurants/shops/eateries nearby.
5-10 mins walk from Jordan MTR station
You can get the A21 bus and stop at Shanghai Street for $39… then just a 5 minute walk under the subway and you are at the apartment. A taxi otherwise would be around $200+
Good wifi connection
Regular change of towels - Davina is very welcoming :-)
Good quality air conditioning
Great sized room and bathroom
Huge plasma TV on wall
Need a security code to get inside the building / guard watching the door at most times so it is very safe
The toilet doesn't flush properly if someone has used it right before you
The shower head wasn't hugely powerful but it was fine overall
I would recommend this to anyone who has never been to HK before but wants to experience it to its fullest. You can go downstairs and have tonnes of choices for food… its all delicious and at great prices! :-)
The room was nice and cosy, what you see in the pictures are what you get sizewise. The location was great, there was a very steep hill leading to the apartment (about 20 meters) which caused minor problems getting our luggage to and from the room, but great exercise daily! The room was advertised with wifi but when we arrived Carlson's assistant told us there was not. We ended up getting VERY weak signal if you managed to position your device by the mirror but that was very inconvenient as it was not advertised as so. The shower was amazing and it was very handy having a fridge and freezer. All in all a pleasant experience and we would definitely stay again. Please get wifi to make it better!
