Lucy's flat was _the_ most comfortable place, and Lucy made me feel welcome even before I arrived with helpful information and texts. The flat was cozy and warm in the chilly London weather. The bed was really comfortable and the neighborhood was very quiet. It was easy to get to the bus or tube and Lucy was always ready to provide directions and information as well as a cup of tea. Everything was very clean and, again, it was very comfortable. Lucy was a delight and I wish I'd had the chance to talk to her more. I am definitely hoping to stay at her flat when I return to London.
Lucy is a fantastic host, as soon as the booking was made she was emailing me asking for my breakfast preferences. I visited in late November and was so grateful for this lovely warm room with its view over an autumn garden, containing a very comfortable bed, plus as a woman to have a hairdryer and decent mirror in my room was a real plus. It is in a quiet residential area within walking distance of buses, trains and shops, I even walked to the Portobello Markets, what more could one ask for. Lucy is a charming, funny and very generous host, and it was such a pleasure to have stayed in her beautiful art filled home. I will be back!
I couldn't have asked for a better first Airbnb experience. Lucy's flat is lovely, with everything you need. If you don't mind walking to the bus and tube you're very well connected, and it doesn't take long to get to all the main tourist areas. I really appreciated Lucy's tips about food options and things to see/places to shop, though she was out and about a lot like I was and our paths didn't cross too often. Great wifi, hair dryer and a handy umbrella made it even better. I would definitely stay at Lucy's again.
I stayed at Lucy's in September 2014 and highly recommend it to anyone! Lucy is an absolutely fantastic host who made me tea/coffee and drove me around to a few places to help me out. I immediately felt home within minutes of meeting her. Her apartment is about 10 min walking from closest tube stop and really easy to navigate. This was my first time traveling with airbnb and I had a great experience. I can't wait to go back and visit and stay with Lucy again! Thank you Lucy for a memorable stay in London!!
I had a great couple of nights at Lucy's place and in London. Lucy kept me well informed of what to expect before arrival and welcomed me warmly when I arrived in the morning. After a tour of the place and practicalities I could catch up with work thanks to the high-speed internet before evening arrangements.
The place is a short 5-10 min walk from Latimer Road tube station and Portobello Road is within walking distance as well. It's good for eating (Lucy pointed me to a few restaurants there) and getting vintage clothing if you are into that. The neighborhood was peaceful and nice. I slept soundly in the room which was perfect for my stay. It's indeed a colorful place which was a nice change for me.
Lucy had to dash off for the weekend to support her team but before that we had a nice chat about common interests, pointers on Portobello road etc. This was helpful.
In Lucy's absence I watched the football and exchanged views on life with her equally kind sister which was great. The place had all I needed for my stay and I had the privacy and company in equal measure which I was looking for. It was nice to start my airbnb journey with such a pleasant stay.
I loved everything about my stay with Lucy. She is such a nice person and was very welcoming, it made me feel at home instantly. She even asked me before my arrival if she could get me anthing special like orange juice or eggs for breakfast. She is a huge football fan and it was a lot of fun to talk to her about it. Unfortunately we couldn't watch any world cup games together, except for the penalties of the Costa Rica - Netherlands game, because of my full schedule. She was always up for a chat in the morning or the evening when we both were at the flat, but she was never intrusive. I'd say she comes close to what is a perfect host.
The flat itself was super tidy and colorfully decorated. I slept really good in the comfortable bed which has a nice view overlooking the garden.
Her flat is in a very nice, safe residential area, Portobello Road is in walking distance and everything else is easily reachable by tube or bus.
The next time I'm in London i will definitely be staying with Lucy again. My best airb'n'b experience by far.
I strongly recommend Lucy as a host! She is very approachable and friendly. She readily helped me with my luggage upon learning that I had a sprain. On the first night of my arrival, Lucy even invited me to join her to watch the World Cup with her and her friends at a pub, though I declined as I am not a football fan.
Her place is located in a great area, within minutes of walking to the hip area of Portobello Road. The neighbourhood is safe and there are many eateries and amenities such as supermarkets. On (website hidden)Map, it looked as if it was quite a distance to the Tube station but it turned out to be a comfortable 10-minute walk for me.
The room was clean and I slept very soundly during my two nights there. One of my best airbnb experiences to date, for sure. :)
This was my third visit with Lucy.
Once again everything was great.
I needed to purchase some art supplies and she directed me to an amazing shop.
Lucy made me feel at home.
Thanks again Lucy!
This was my second visit with Lucy.
Just as on my first visit, Lucy was a great host.
She contacted me in advance of my arrival so I could get keys and even asked if there was anything like eggs and milk she could pick up to make my arrival easier.
She is friendly and welcoming, gave me directions, suggestions, and introduced me to the ins and outs of the World Cup.
I had forgotten my electrical adapter -- Lucy had a couple of sparesI could borrow!
Thank you, Lucy.
