Crystal, it was unfortunate that you felt so disappointed with your stay. While you are the first guest to raised such strong negative concerns about the condition of my place, I do welcome the feedback and will work to address them.
Regarding the content of your review:
The walls, yes, aesthetically unpleasing if you are bothered by luggage marks on white walls. This was your biggest and primary concern and is unfortunate I wasn't able to paint them prior to your arrival. I feel however, this does not affect the comfort, security, or hygienic aspects of my condo, which you did not raise any concerns with. Hence, my "exceptional value" comment.
The other things that was selectively raised with me, seem to have taken on some artistic and creative exaggeration in your review. Especially when I re-cleaned cleaned all the utensils, knives, surfaces in the unit before you got to use them.
You failed to mention the fact that I offered to have everything cleaned the same night while you were out, within hours of your check in. I did leave my 2 young children at night, drove 1 hour, to get to the condo and bring brand new towels within hours of you contacting me. You also failed to mention that I've tried several times (with no response back) to ask how else I can help to make things better for your stay. Had you responded and told me how uncomfortable you felt staying there (which never came up), I would have made other arrangements for your final few nights.
While I am truly sorry that you felt so negatively about your stay, I feel your whole complaint to be a little disingenuous and you went out looking for the smallest signs of "dirt" to make your case. Selectively quoting my texts to you as "evidence" also feels a little dubious.
Nevertheless, I do appreciate the feedback and I will be more vigilant of these things next time.
