Originally from the Cycladic isles of Greece I now call Edmonton my home. Living in the Bellevue community, close to city centre, is great fun as I am very close to all the major events. I also like to indulge in the cultural offerings the capital city’s downtown has to offer such as the gallery, theater, library, and cozy Jasper Ave pubs, especially with the Light Rail Transit a block away from home.
I am an MSc student in Psychopharmacology at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta. The research I am involved in combines genetics and pharmacology to develop personalized treatments for patients suffering from addiction and/or mental illness.
I love playing and talking about tennis so my condo is filled with references to the sport I love. I enjoy travel (especially to warm ocean-side destinations), food, music, languages and exploring the beautiful landscape that Canada offers. I have an interest in dinosaurs and the archeology of ancient civilizations.
My condo is always ready for visitors. I like to keep it clean and uncluttered, such as you would expect a good hotel space. I also have this constant urge for home-improvement so some returning guests may find the condo changes slightly from visit to visit.
Vincent van Gogh once said "The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore." I often find myself when I travel running off the beaten path and toward the "sea" of opportunity that holds the promise of some adventure.
