Saloni was great to host my 2 friends and I after we booked last minute, and her place is real comfortable. We got pretty much exactly what we needed and were hoping for (and two non-stop cats!)
Good bargain for a nice apartment. Really enjoyed the neighborhood and it's a very short walk to the subway. Some street noise came through to the bedroom but it didn't bother us. Loved the cats. The host was very, very accommodating and helpful. Would stay here again.
Stayed 5 nights at Saloni's and very much satisfied with the experience. The place is just a minute walk from the subway and is in one of the "coolest" neighborhoods in NY - metropolitan avenue is within 5 minutes, Bedford is about 10 mins. Manhattan is also easy to get to by the L train. The place is just the couch, but the house is quite and the cats are lovely. Saloni and Jeff are very nice and easy going, help with advice re the area and answer the messages promptly. If travel on the budget for a few days would certainly consider staying again. Thanks!
Saloni was very quick to reply to all of my questions and left clear instructions for me when I arrived at her apartment. Her place is very convenient in terms of location, near lots of places to eat and the L train. Her kitchen is also very large with a new stove (though I didn't use it), so if you are staying there longer and wanted to cook, it's perfect. I would definitely stay there again!
Saloni's space was exactly as advertised and just what I wanted: A place to crash on my way out to JFK to following morning. Also, I was a little nervous about making the connection, having had a long day of travel, and coming from far away, but Saloni managed that well.
1. Close to Manhattan and easily accessible from the subway (even for this non-New Yorker). Access to JFK via subway just as easy.
2. WiFi is just fine
3. The couch is actually quite comfortable (!!). I slept very well, so I was in good shape for my flight!
The backyard would have been nice to relax in if I had time.
Saloni's place is ideal for those who plan to stay for less than a week. The apt is neat and large. The neighborhood is lovely and convenient. I made myself exploring the neighborhood a bit and found nice cafe and restaurant. It is very easy to get on L train to New York city and even JFK airport. Saloni is easygoing and pleasant apartment mate. I strongly recommend her place!
My stay at Saloni's place was great. The location is just perfect, only 15 minutes to Union Square with the L Line and in the heart of Williamsburg. The subway is also very close and there are plenty of places available in the streets nearby to park a car.
The apt itself is clean with everything you would need and two lovely cats...
I definitely recommend this place
Had a great time in NY, Saloni and Jeff were great, very accommodating and easy going. Their place was clean and quiet, also, the couch was comfortable. The location is really convenient, it is right next to the subway and it was easy to get around the city, plenty of food and night life in the area as well. I would recommend this spot to anyone going to visit the city, not just brooklyn.
Both Saloni & her boyfriend Jeff were great and accommodating hosts. I had so much trouble getting into the city (cancelled flight, delayed flight, etc.) but they were so understanding and once I finally did arrive they made me feel quite at home. The location itself is great, very close to the subway and right on the L line of the subway. Plus very close to Manhattan / Williamsburgh. Also, two very adorable cats. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay that this would be it.
Comfy couch, friendly people. Great neighborhood, still very close to Manhattan but with a much nicer vibe. The space is really just a couch but the hosts were nice and accommodating and obviously quite used to having people through. A good place to crash for a night or two.
Although we didn't have the chance to meet personally, she seemed very nice and sweet.
Saloni and her friend came late at night so unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to hang out and to get to know each other a little bit.
But, they were wonderful, considerate and very clean guests, they even washed the dishes after breakfast so when I came back home in the afternoon, it was all tidy and also a big "thank you" note waited for me on the table!
Well, it is me in a first place that is thankful for having such nice guests, it really brighten my day and they are most welcome to come back anytime!
