I'm a 3D artist in videogames, and my husband is a programmer, also in games. We have a dog, enjoy baking, gardening (which you'll see in out the window of the guesthouse) and traveling.
We had a lovely stay at Ben's Garden Guesthouse and Ben is a very kind host. It's easy to find from the Bus Terminal (BSI).
The place is very cozy and private, I think you will not find anything like this in Reykjavik. There are enough heaters and a dehumidifier so it was really cozy and warm and no problem with moisture during our stay in the cold season! Also the shower was quite a pleasure. We loved to prepare our own little breakfasts in the kitchenette before going to explore Reykjavik and Iceland. After long days exploring we were looking forward to a good sleep in the King Size bed.
We even where lucky enough to see Northern Lights on our way home from the city centre and also from the garden. Thanks to Ben's informations it was quite easy for us to find supermarkets, swimming pools, restaurants and the city centre.
Thank You Ben!
Ben's place was exactly as advertised. Even though I didn't get to meet Ben, I appreciated his quick responses to my queries via e-mail.
Our trip went off without a hitch. We could easily find Ben's place and actually had the bus service (BSI) drop us off right out front! The apartment was private, quiet, and clean. Everything we were hoping for! Downtown was an easy walk from Ben's and there are some new great places to eat and drink in the city. All in all the trip was a great success! Thanks Ben!
We stayed in Ben's garden guesthouse for 2 nights and it was a very pleasant experience. It was very easy to find after getting off at the bus stop from the airport, and very convenient and walkable to everywhere we wanted to go. We arrived while he was at work and left before he was awake so we didn't get to meet him, but he was very responsive with our planning and leading up to our arrival and gave good instructions. Thanks Ben and we hope we can visit again soon!

The garden guesthouse is in a cute and private backyard. We were very comfortable and Ben is a very kind host. Only 10 min walk to the downtown area.
Ben's place was cozy and quiet. It was perfect for our weekend stopover in Reykjavik. We appreciated having a refrigerator and microwave. His garden is lovely. We could easily walk to the downtown area from here.
The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. The guesthouse provides complete privacy (it also overlooks a beautiful garden). It is within an easy 10 minute walk from downtown area. I'd consider staying there again next time I go back to Iceland.
A lovely stay with excellent hosts. Apartment was a converted gargage and we were very comfortable. Only a 10 minute walk to town.
Ben's Garden Guesthouse is cozy and quiet as advertised. Located in a quiet, residential neighbourhood, 15 min walk away from the city centre. The guesthouse appears to be a converted garage, but there's plenty of light and space inside. There's a bedroom, a living room, a small kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. The bed is large and comfortable. It appears that the guesthouse used to have a moisture problem, but there are heaters and dehumidifiers running constantly, so that's no longer an issue. Ben and his husband are helpful and friendly hosts. Wholeheartedly recommended.
Great host. Clean and nice guesthouse. Would stay here again:)
Ben and Agust are a very nice and friendly couple. They stayed with us for only two days but enough for us to appreciate their politness. They even left the room and the badroom very clean!!!
It has been a real pleasure to host them!!!
Ben and Agustus were perfect guests! They were wonderful to be around and chat over a glass of wine and dinner! Unfortunately, i wasnt around as much and would have loved to get to know them more!! Always welcome in my home guys and i cant wait to see you in Iceland!! Thanks for sharing your time with me!
Ben is an enthusiastic and talented cook, and enthusiastic about knowing Reykjavík and enthusiastic at playing host. I have met various guests who have stayed with him as he takes his hosting seriously. I nearly moved in permanently to his guest house - but its lucky for you I didn't as I probably would still be there, eating Ben's cookies and chilling in his garden.
Ben & his husband Ágúst run a really cute little guesthouse in one the nicest neighbourhoods in Reykjavik. It is really close to the centre of town, but quiet enough so you won´t be bothered by the hustle & bustle of the late night partying. They are really accommodating and go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable and get the most out of their stay in Iceland.
I would totally recommend staying at Bens. Its a beautiful private spot in the heart of Reykjavik. He is so accommodating and the place is very clean with all the mod cons. A five minute walk to the sea and to the heart of Reykjavik. Perfecto!
