We spent most of our adult lives in Seattle on the west coast of the US. 4 years ago we moved to Hawaii. Recently we realized we were not getting any younger, health can be fragile, and we had more traveling we want to do. So we are putting all our stuff in storage and setting off.
We like simple things and prefer to see how folks live in the areas we visit rather than spending all our time at tourist attractions. Bus and train travel are fine by us. Big cities are OK but we are fond of rural areas and don't much care for isolated suburbs. Ann has food allergies, mainly gluten intolerance and crustacean allergies.
We have lived in areas with a great deal of diversity (you name it) and appreciate the diversity.
