I'm looking for a place for my uncle and his family who are coming to New York in February. 2 adults and 2 children. They live in London.
The appartement is really nice and clean. You have all you need also for a longer stay and it is much more better as a hotel room. The area itself is interesting and busy but very save. I was for 2 Months in Queens and had not one dangerous or scary situation. Lot of shops and restaurants are around, but in the appartement it is very quite. Marjorie is a wonderful host and showed me some real cool places and bars.
Marjorie was a perfect owner! She helped me in everything and was flexible enough that i could stay longer for some days.
The apartement is verry nice and clean. It is in a good neighborhood; safe, nice restaurants and food stands, 7Train 2min by walk, Jackson Heights Station with E F M R train by 5min walk 2 big supermarket and a lot of small shops next to the apartement. Roosevelt ave is a busy street with a high line railroad (7Train) but you can't hear the noise at night.
The Apartement is big enough for 2 people with a good kitchen (for NY) and a big bedroom.
I will book it again!
Thanks Marjorie for everything and see you one day in Rapperswil :-)
It is a nice one-bedroom apartment in the historic Jackson Heights district, surrounded by a big colombian community. The building is pre-war (no doorman) and the unit needed some repairs, but nothing that impacted the experience. Not too noisy. Cecille, Marjorie's friend who welcomed me, was very nice to talk to and brought what I needed and asked for. It's convenient to the 7 train, and in about 30-40 minutes you arrive at Times Square.
We stayed in Marjorie's apartment during our four month stay in New York, we really like the neighborhood, it was safe and easy going as well as being accessible to Manhattan quite easily. The apartment was compact size with one adjoining bedroom which was open to the living room. We had a couple of settling in problems which we resolved with the help of the building administrator. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and were delighted to find a four month let in New York as easily as we did on Airbnb.
