Response from Claudio:
We were very surprised to read Emmanuel's reply to us, as it is untruthful. We did not complained about anything (we should have!), and the comment about flirting with his fiancee is laughable. Anybody that reads his other reviews will see that he tries to discredit anyone who posts any negative comments or criticism.
Here's our account of our very short stay at his place. I found this nice apartment in NYC and it became our very first Airbnb experience. Upon arrival, the host was welcoming enough, but rather cold, just going thru the rules of the house, as many others have mentioned. We were exploring the city from morning to late night, and spent almost no waking hours in the apartment. Both nights we stayed there, we had to contend with lively parties going way past midnight. After the party was over, E and his fiancée didn't even make an attempt to keep the clattering of the dishes and conversation down for our sake, as our room was off of their living/dining room. I might add that the following mornings neither of them mentioned anything about being inconsiderate or loud, nor did they ever ask us anything about us or how our time in NYC was going. Whenever we walked through their space (we had to on our way to and from our room), we always felt unwelcome and intruding. We never complained about the noise or anything else for that matter. The only communication I personally had with his fiancee was before checking out, I asked if they recycled so we could recycle our many empty water bottles (It was very very hot and humid during our time there).
Now, perhaps he was aggravated because his fiancées parents were also staying in the apartment at the very same time. It also happened to be the 4th of July weekend. I assume that he doesn't usually have parties 2 nights in a row, but we happened to be there when he did. No concessions were made. At the end, he let us stay past the check out time, for which we were grateful.
This is our honest view and opinion.
