Chris was a great host, always in communication, gave us very usefull information. We really appreciated the snacks, yoghurt, coffee and fruit. The bed is really comfortable! Great experience.
Nice little cottage and Chris is super good to deal with making everything easy.
Had a very nice stay. Comfortable small cabin. Chris is a nice host. Enjoyed drinking the wine she left for me. Great book collection too.
Pleasant little efficiency cottage. Great access to East Austin and a direct run to downtown.
If you enjoy the East Austin vibe, this place is an ideal location - walking distance to the cute places up on 11th/12th and the hipster spots on 5th/6th. Also really easy to get to downtown and other parts of the city.
Chris was super nice and very responsive. She clearly has a fun sense of style that you experience in the little details of the place. And she leaves tasty snacks and breakfast goodies.
I will say this place is SMALL! There's not a lot of room for belongings or people so plan accordingly. This place, as is East Austin, is also probably not the ideal spot for folks who want a pristine and totally finished home away from home. If you're looking for an unpretentious, funky little crash pad, don't mind things a bit rough around the edges and looking to have fun in East Austin...it's pretty cool.
This was my first Airbnb stay and it couldn't have gone better! Chris is very responsive, helpful and sweet. Her cute little cabin had everything we needed and a few extras - like a nice bottle of wine! We enjoyed coffee and yogurt in the morning. Oh and the bed, it was really comfortable!! The place is perfect for 2; 3 is a squeeze but it can be done. We wish we could've stayed longer. Chris was nice enough to offer us the place until 6p on the day of checkout, but we had to be on our way. We would definitely stay here again.
Chris is a FANTASTIC hostess. The cabin is so cute, just a simple studio, but with basic amenities like a/c and a comfy bed. Chris goes out of her way to make it homey with healthy and delicious treats in the kitchen, and a guide book for the area. Chris was very responsive, easy to be in touch with, welcoming, and gracious. Our only regret was that we didn't get to meet and thank her in person. I can't recommend her or this quaint homey cabin enough...Also loved the books on her shelves :)
I would add that this pad is not for the worka-holic or techno-holic; no tv or wi-fi made for just the vacation my husband and I wanted!!!
Chris was so helpful and easy to contact. She left some goodies in the cabin as well so overall very thoughtful and a great experience.
The quick responses and easy ways of communication were much appreciated, especially as last minute as this reservation came about. It felt very comfortable and cozy being in the cabin, somewhat Bohemian rustic. The bed was comfortable also. The treats for the morning / late night snack were an absolute bonus and personal touch that created the extra welcome feeling, not to mention the handcrafted guidebook for local interests / activities. I would definitely choose to return to this option, if need be.
Super cute, cozy place in a great neighborhood. Short walk/cab ride from everything downtown, tho East Austin has some great spots that are a bit more uniquely "Austin" than what you might find downtown. Chris was great in making sure we had everything we needed and very easy to contact. She even left us with some goodies in the house and had a great personal guide with recommendations for places to eat/things to do/etc. And perhaps the most awesome thing was the thrift shop just down the street..., simply amazing!
Chris was an excellent guest and we look forward to having him back again!
I met Chris through a friend of my sister’s during SXSW last year. In the six months since, she has become one of my closest friends in Austin. She is someone I call whenever I have some free time and she always has a pretty good idea about what’s worthwhile in town. Whether it’s dollar mimosas, theater performance, or Austin’s best veggie tacos, she is somehow always in the know. I can count on her good judgment- when I asked her to decorate my new condo, she kept me from making some catastrophic mistakes. She is an excellent friend- a good listener, solid on advice, and she let me be her puppy’s godfather. My guess is she will make an exceptional host.
I've been very good friends with Christine for 10 years. She's one of the most honest, trustworthy, thoughtfully and clean people I know. She's the kind of host that would make every effort to make her guests feel comfortable. Also, her taste is amazing and you would be lucky to stay in her adorable place. It's where I stay when I go to Austin.
Chris and I are friends from Austin. She has impeccable taste and will be very accommodating for any traveler who chooses to stay with her! Her place is funky and hip and in my favorite part of Austin - close to great eats, bars, and not too far from downtown!
