Response from Loretta:
I contacted Myriam Sat morning about getting a refund but all she said was she was sorry and that she would TRY to get a refund. I did not know she lived right across the yard or I would have seen her in person. However I feel that she should have come to me once I told her I was unhappy. Not knowing whether I was going to get a refund, I could not afford to go get another place. Had I known I would be able to get a refund I would have left the second day, I would have left the first night, except it was late and raining very hard. Plugging in a refrigerator is not a big deal; it's just that it should have been ready for us. Leaving dirty cleaning clothes in the second bedroom as well as not having it prepared for guests is a big deal. Not having fans or screens on the windows so we could get ventilation is a big deal. We could deal with the road; we just should have been warned that it was rough and contained several signs saying private property, keep out. Yes, the futon broke, but all we were doing is sitting on it, which I don't feel is unexpected.
