I am a native Californian living and working in Paris at UNESCO Headquarters. At UNESCO I work on tourism management issues at UNESCO World Heritage Sites, so naturally I love to travel.

The location and the quality of Deyola's space was terrific. While the space was a little tight for 2 people, it worked very well. It's very close to the Champs-Elysee and conveniently located a few blocks from the Villiers metro stop which was a big plus. Deyola did a great job coordinating our check-in / check-out and the apartment was nice and clean. I'd stay at her place again.
This is it!
Deyola's apartment is perfect for me.
You will see lots of restaurants and a few flower shops in the street when walking to take the Metro.
There's no elevator in this appartment, so you have to make the luggage not too heavy^^.
The apartment itself is very bright and practical.
The bathroom's somewhat small but it's Ok.
I'll recommend it whoever wants the real Parisien life.
The apartment is definitely lovely and comprehensive of all the necessary.
It's very close to the metro station. The quarter is very nice with shops and restaurants.
We have a nice days in Paris and Deyola's place was a little but comfortable place to stay, very close to the Villers metro station and (email hidden)ly neighborhood, the appartment was located in a very lively street plenty of food stalls and bakeries, I loved!
Deyola is a great host and the apartment is very comfortable. The bed is comfortable, internet is fast and without any glitches, clean bathroom, and good kitchen facilities. Almost everything I could ask for. The walk up to 5th floor is fine as long as you don't carry a heavy luggage. Villiers station is just a 2 minutes walk away. I wont hesitate to go for this one on my next trip to Paris!!!
Deyola's place is just perfect for my stay of 6 days in Paris. It's on the 5th floor with plenty of sunlight. It is small as most apartments are in Paris, but it was tastefully decorated and furnished. The shower and hot water were a treat. There's a coffee machine and the bed is very comfortable. Velib bikes just close by and you will never starve as there are numerous bakeries, cheese shops, restaurants, food stalls, fruit vendors around. Five minutes walk to the metro will take you anywhere you fancy in Paris. Deyola was also responsive and helpful with everything. We haven't met and communicated via e-mail, and this worked for me -- she's very good at giving specific instructions. In short, a great stay. No lift, so be prepared to walk up. One advice, don't have heavy luggage to bring. Other than this, Deyola's place is highly recommended!
Deyola's apartment is lovely and in a very good location. We never felt unsafe in the street no matter what time it was. The apartment itself is very clean! There are markets down the road which are great as we were able to get fresh produce to eat for breakfast! I would definitely recommend Deyola's place if staying in Paris!
We had a fantastic stay at Deyola's. Although we did not get to meet Deyola in person, we kept in contact via the internet. Since we traveled by our backpacks, climbing the stairs to reach her apartment wasn't a problem for us. We cooked most of the nights/morning to save on our expenses from dining outside. We did the laundry couple of times. Her place is at a perfect location to go sightseeing or go to the markets on the street. We enjoyed going to the market to buy croissant and other bread every morning :-) We stayed for 8 nights and felt like a Parisian! If we were to come back to visit Paris in future, we would definitely stay at Deyola's again.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Deyola's flat for five nights. It was well-suited for our needs, and is exactly as it appears in the photos - small and bright. Deyola, while we never met, was a pleasure to correspond with. She was timely, helpful, and as she was not in the country, provided a local contact (which we didn't need). My mistake was that I overlooked it did not have wifi, but in the end this was probably a good thing. The location was ideal for getting to the metro for zipping around, and when we didn't feel like it, many shops and a market, cafes etc. were at the doorstep. Overall, extremely great value and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend or stranger. Thank you!
A good, basic flat... Minimally outfitted (as stated) but comfortable, quiet, etcetera.
Nice location. Has Velib (rental) bikes outside, which are the best way to get around all Paris!
Deyola and her friends, where perfect guests, they where kind and respectful, i will totally recommend them as guests.
Deyola is a truly amazing person. She has travelled and seen much of the world and even strives to protect the beautiful world we live in at her current job with UNESCO. She has great taste and can always offer up great travel recommendations anywhere in the world.
I would trust her with my life, if that matters to you.
Deyola is a wonderfully personable girl who goes to great lengths to make sure your stay is as lovely as you hoped it to be! The location is no less than ideal with markets and shops on the adorable (and partially pedestrian) Rue de Levis. Instead of a forced and touristic feel of Paris, Deyola's apartment gives you a picturesque view of this romantic city while being well-connected to every other neighborhood (metro 2 minutes away!). I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, if not sooner.
I love Paris, but especially now thanks to Deyola and her little apartment! This clean and renovated one bedroom does what many French apartments (in my experience) can't by balancing the Parisian "old world" experience with modern amenities. Beyond the comfort of the airy space, you'll be living a block from the picturesque bustle of market vendors on Rue de Lévis selling meat, cheese, wine, fruits/vegetables, flowers, etc... I can't put it any better way than Home Away from Home!
