I am a PhD sudent within the School of Design, University of Leeds where I am also employed as a Demonstrator within the `Print Workshop. I am a self employed artist with a studio at East Street Arts, Patrick Studios, Leeds 9 (website hidden). I am a performance/live artist. I print-make, sculpt, draw, photograph and film and make installation art. I have won a number of prizxes including the Photography category of the Northern Design Competition 2010 (website hidden) and First Prize at the Bradford Open 2007. My house is an additional ad hoc exhibition space. My current work explores the connections between neolithic stone markers and contemporary graffiti and computer technology. I am navigating the landscapes of Scotland and Yorkshire and most recently have been working in Orkney and Shetland and on Ilkley Moor. I love walking and gardening and am happiest with my feet or hands planted firmly in the earth. I have an inside cat Mr Domble and an outside one Bee Jay that represent the tensions between wildness (wilderness) and domestication. I practise Yoga and am a qualified Co-Counsellor.
