I am a Brazilian citizen and live in Campos do Jordão, São Paulo, Brasil, which is the highest city in Brazil (one mile high city, like Denver). I'm almost retired, worked 40 years in IT business as a Mainframe Systems Engineer in large international IT companies. I like to travel, most of the time in the US and Canada. I like to go to the gym everyday and do aerobics classes, like cycling, spinning, as well as Pilates and stretches classes. In Campos do Jordão I go to the YMCA gym that is the only one offering these classes. This is a small town 200 Km far from São Paulo and with almost 50,000 people living here. I am married with my first girlfriend, almost 40 years and have 2 daughters. The youngest lives and work in São Paulo in advertising design and my oldest has autism and stays at home with my wife. I like to meet people and chat and I also like to be alone in my room with my notebook. I need a fast Internet connection, a table and a chair to work. I am 64 years old and in good shape, despite my belly that said otherwise. I have been in Denver a few times and love the city specially the 24 Hours Fitness Center and the Red B-Cycle system (I am an annual member). For me, Denver is like Disneyland with a lot of adventures bike trails and I don't have this in Brazil. It is very dangerous to ride a bike in my city because we don't have the infrastructure for that. I need a window in the room I will rent to feel the fresh wind coming to my face. I use to travel to the USA or Canada in Spring and Autumn time. Some snow time is welcome because I don´t have it in Brazil. I like the cold days. I am also a big fan of great TV Shows that I watch through my notebook at night. I am new in AirBnB but I liked the business concept of the site, the transparency with the Host and Guest. Instead of being alone in expensive hotels we have a chance to know real people at their homes and to learn and exchange life experiences. With the money I spend in 10 days in a regular hotel I can stay a whole month in a friend home and make more Facebook friends. I am using Facebook like a tool in my city to encourage people to practice real democracy and freedom, fighting against corruption and to participate in politics decisions locally and in Brazil Congress.
