I am an assistant professor of health economics by trade, a linguist by heart, and traveling is my passion. I have lived in the United States, France, Japan, Taiwan, and have traveled in parts of all continents in the world except South America (and Antarctica) - however, I hope this obvious gap in my travel path will soon be remedied. I am an American of mixed Taiwanese and Japanese descent (my father is from Taiwan, and my my mother, a Japanese-American from Hawaii).
Although much of my time is taken up by academic research, in my spare time I enjoy gardening, walking my dog Austin, taking care of my saltwater aquarium, reading mystery novels, and cooking cuisines from around the world - just learned how to make authentic French macarons!
I am a responsible professional and will be sure to take care of any place I have the pleasure of calling home during my travels.
