One of the best BnB's I've encountered!! The bed is so cozy, the suite is comfortable and the perfect size and the property is gorgeous! There is a pool and a hot tub and a fire pit. The gate locks so its very secure. And the location is absolutely perfect! You are literally across the street from one of the wineries - Misconduct - which also has a restaurant open in high season.
Your hosts here will be the highlight though. Joanna is so organized and has a print out for you when you arrive with everything you need to know. She has thought of everything! They leant us bikes and even invited us to hang with them, their kids and extended family for a fire Saturday night. Just the warmest people.
I highly recommend booking your okanagan holiday here!!
Joanna's place was the perfect spot to explore the Naramata Bench and beyond. The suite had absolutely everything we needed, and the hot tub was such a treat after cycling all day. Super private, beautiful gardens, conveniently located and great value! Thanks!
This was a beautiful spot to stay. There were so many nice touches like in room coffee, candles and wine glasses. We were here for a short stay to attend the Dragon boat festival but plan on coming back to enjoy the amenities and local things to do. I absolutely recommend Joanna.
Joanna and her family are very friendly and accommodation. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and will to stay again when I go back!
Very nicely kept place near vineyards, great restaurants and a short drive to Penticton.
We had a great time in Naramata. Joanna's suite is in a perfect location if you want to do some wine touring as well as some climbing in the Skaha bluffs. The suite is very private and the garden and pool are beautiful. Next time we will have to stay longer so we can enjoy the pool and fire pit.
We arrived on August 11th 2013 for four-night stay. I found it very easy to communicate with Joanna, who sent me her cell number so we could text. She was flexible on the time we arrived (and departed). It was easy to operate the gate at the entrance and we were happy to have our car safely parked inside for the duration of our stay.
The location is exactly as it appears in the pictures; a lush, peaceful escape surrounded by hedges and trees. You get the sense that you are in your own private oasis – a perfect setting to relax the mind and settle in.
The suite has a private patio with table and chairs, and a small BBQ. We were there under the category of “romantic couple get-away” but if you have kids, there is a sandbox and pirate ship-style fort directly off the patio.
As you enter the suite, there is a bathroom, complete with soaker tub and separate shower. Past that is the bedroom, with a large Queen-sized bed facing a cabinet with a television inside, and an electric fireplace. The space is not huge, but we found it quite suitable for the two of us.
The closet next to the bed contained a mini-fridge and a Krueger coffee maker. As we didn’t always want to eat out ($$) nor eat outside (wasps) we sat on the daybed to eat. There was a good selection of plates, cutlery, glassware, etc., in a cupboard beside the bed, and Joanna was very kind to wash everything for us whenever we left dishes on the patio table (as instructed).
We did not hear a peep once inside the suite – it was quiet and secluded. We had the air-conditioning (self-controlled) on almost the entire time, which drowned out any noise that may have crept in.
Joanna and her family (husband, two young boys and Ripper the dog) were very hospitable. My partner and I both felt welcomed and well looked after. It was lovely to sit poolside, sipping a crisp Upper Bench Pinot Gris and share stories. Joanna and her husband are warm, friendly and down-to-earth.
Another highlight was the location. The suite is across the street from Misconduct, a winery with a patio restaurant. We recommend popping over there at sunset for a plate of tapas. A fifteen-minute walk up the road is Upper Bench Winery, where you’ll find excellent whites and delicious cheeses to match. A quick 2-minute drive and you’ll find yourself at the beginning of the Naramata Bench, where we tasted our way through several unique and interesting wineries.
Overall, I highly recommend this suite, and will be suggesting it to our friends and family. Four nights was barely enough to fully enjoy everything this area – and the suite – has to offer. We will definitely be returning, and will hope to stay at Tranquility Suite when we do!
Thank you Joanna and family, for sharing your space and being such gracious hosts.
We stayed at Joanna's place in August for two nights. Her suite was nicely-appointed, very clean and comfortable. She has thought of everything--the little details like a Keurig coffee maker and Starbucks pods, a patio table and chairs directly outside the suite. The 2nd bed was comfortable as was the queen bed. The grounds and garden were beautiful. We certainly enjoyed our stay.
Fantastic place to stay! Very comfortable bed, clean and spacious room, pool, hot tub, close to wineries and most of all a very helpful and friendly host in Joanna!
Looking forward to coming back!
Joanna was a really thoughtful host. The place is great, really beautiful spot in Naramata. Looking forward to staying with Joanna again!
