Grew up in the area. Love the small town vibe in Covina.
A very DIY kinda of guy. Very easy going and attentive.
John is a wonderful host, he is very helpful and feel you comfortable at his place. John used to give me free rides as I didn't have a car and he has helped me a lot by dropping/picking to my office during initial days. It was a great support.
John's older daughter is also a very kind person, she used to offer me dinner whenever she used to cook.
Most important, staying at John's place is really safe as he is a techie guy, always make use of technology to keep him and his accompany safer. I would strongly recommend this place. I wish I could stay for a longer time but due to personal commitments, had to move to a permanent accommodation.
Thank you Mr. John for your wonderful hosting. Please extend my regards and thankfulness to your older daughter as well. I look for you if require any help/support in LA :)-.
John and his family were very warm and welcoming to me and my pups. The room is as described and was suitable for what I needed. My stay was somewhat unusual in that it was more long-term by ABNB standards because of a unique situation I was in. John was very responsive and accommodating which made me feel secure and comfortable in choosing his rental. Best of all, the location is very close to my work and convenient to several restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping centers. Thanks to John and his adorable family!
John was very welcoming. He made sure I felt like I was at home. The room was very comfortable and was enough space for me. Would stay again if I came back. x
John is a great host and made me feel right at home. I greatly enjoyed hearing about the historic house, ongoing projects and checking out all the interesting things in the room.
Conveniently located near the 10, 210 and 57 freeways.
I'd stay here again any time!
John was watering his front yard while waiting for us to arrive. He greeted us warmly, introduced us to his daughter and granddaughter who are living there now, and put our left overs into the fridge. John has a good sense of humor, an amazing collection of '50s pop art, and is very friendly.
We enjoyed the place. Our bedroom was in the front of the house, first floor, and was quiet, clean, and well decorated with '50's stuff, which we remember for real. We shared the bathroom with others, and had no problem. Nice thick towels, quality bedding.
John was very quick to respond to our emails arranging for our arrival.
We needed a change of pace, and being in such unusual decor, and visiting with a happy family did the trick!
It's well located on a quiet residential street and within safe walking of the historic area of Covina, which has good one-of-a-kind restaurants and lots of antique stores and a Starbucks. We ate dinner at Tres Vinos, and our salads were very good, as was a glass of merlot. It's a Cuban influenced place with a Latin style dance band. At 7:30 they weren't too loud, but by the time we left, people were on the dance floor and the sound was up I wished we could do Latin dance! Wonderful to people watch there.
We'll definitely stay Cozy Covina Comfort again if we are ever in the area.
John is amazing! I felt very welcomed in his house. He was extremely attentive to my needs and was very easy to reach if I needed his help (though it happened just some times). Also there are some animals in the back yard - two chickens, a rabbit, a dog and a cat. So it was additional pleasure to be there :)
The room is accurate as described. It's a room in the garage styled amazingly in a car style (you need to be prepared, it's really something amazing))) ).
The neighborhood is safe and quiet. It's a small town so it's really quiet there. The shops, restaurants and park are nearby.
If you don't feel welcome there - you're in a wrong address, because in Johns' house it's impossible :)
I had a great experience at John's !
John is a very nice man with his beautiful family !
The garage was pretty cool for a guy like me, quiet and confortable !
So I recommend this place for a man.
Thanks John, take care! :-)
I had an AMAZING experience staying with John in his home. My friend and I were very pleased with the space (it was clean, spacious, and everything that we needed for the two evenings we stayed there). On our arrival, John left waters and sodas in the mini fridge to enjoy, and made sure we had clean towels and washcloths to shower with. The bed was made and linens were clean, and I felt very safe staying in his home. I would HIGHLY recommend this listing to anyone who needs lodging in Covina. John went above and beyond my expectations for the Airbnb experience.
Thank you so much for the kind remarks. Hope to see you again.
John is a very welcoming host. He really goes out of his way to make sure that you can enjoy your stay in Los Angeles with ease. His space provides you all the privacy you need to unwind and work (if necessary). I would recommend this space to a traveler looking for a spot to relax and be creative.
Good host with nice house. Easy access to the freeway. Lots of places to eat around it.
I've known John since water, and I can tell you that staying at his place would be a very cool experience. He's fun and friendly, and goes out of his way to make sure your stay is comfortable.
He loves people and is fun to be around. I could tell you some of our adventures together, but I'll let him save that for your stay!
